Any of you ever used this app. I just downloaded it the other day and haven't been able to compare it with actually hunting but it seems alright.

Strictly out of curiosity since Drury Outdoors pimps this app so much, I've been comparing my sightings and trailcam pics to Deer Cast for the past 3 weeks or so. I found it to be totally useless! Yesterday, it said "Great" activity morning and evening. I was in the stand for 9hrs yesterday and saw 1 fawn at 7:20am. The weather was perfect too. This was just one of many days like this and pretty much the last straw. I sent a text saying, "#SUCKITDEERCAST" and deleted the app.

I tried it too.  Can't say any day that it said was "great" was great at all.  It's a crap shoot prob anyway but thought it might be interesting.  Havent really looked at it in a week. Wasn't something I will rely on for sure. Saw no correlation with their deer cast and the deer i saw.

I downloaded it for sh..ts and giggles. I understand their reasoning and the scientific and other data, but in all actuality, I would never go or not go hunting because of the "deercast" That being said, they tote November 4 as a "have to hunt" date. Ironically, and I believe it is only coincidence, I my last 3 of wall hangers on November 4. So November 4 is always a great day in my "deercast". What I think the app will do is cause some people to not feel so bad about not hunting on a bad "cast" day because they justified it by being a lousy day anyway. My bro-in-law did that last week and we both chuckled. It will be interesting to use it an entire season or 3 to get a feel for it.

I will say you can get the same weather and barometric pressures from any weather app, or weather forecast. I guess the videos keep me occupied in the meantime even though I can't stand the whole commercialization of the sport.
