Deer Near NYC

Hey Fellas,

I live in the city, it's going to be my first time hunting with a crossbow. Could anyone kindly inform me about places near to NYC for crossbow hunting. I know I can't in Westchester and Long Island.

Plenty of public land in Putnam County. I hit cranberry mountain in patterson when I go on public, but I am sure there are other spots as well. Cranberry gets worked over hard once gun season starts so get out there soon.

Dutchess County, 917 acres, WMU 3G.  Looks like a nice area to hunt in. Anyone hunt it?

I have been there  once or twice  they got a  good trail that runs  thro it  and its not  to hilly.  You see deer all the time from the parkway that borders that park  there in there for sure .
