The media not saying it but the reason the French are mad the higher taxes are to support the big immigration wave they just had from the Muslim world thanks to Germany .

“I think [Macron] doesn’t realize the depth of the crisis … there’s not much he can do about it,” Bricmont speculated. “He’s not a statesman, he’s a banker, he’s been put in that position and thinks that he has solution to everything in his head. I think he’s extremely arrogant, extremely self-centered, extremely detached from reality.”

In the meantime, officials around Macron are “incompetent,” Bricmont added, “I’m really scared for France.”

Macron is the EU version of Justin Trudeau. They both need to just find boyfriends they can cuddle with and leave the people and economies of their countries alone.

I remember Bosnia-Herzogovina really well. The snipers taking out civilians. Turns out the citizens weren't nearly as unarmed as the government thought they were. That turned into a mess.

I have a friend currently in France who emailed just last night with some updated information. Guns are basically illegal in the hands of private citizens in France without special permits, but almost everyone he's met admits to owning at least one. Mostly shotguns stuck in the back of a closet in the bedroom. This could end very badly.

Nobody in the media is going to say exactly what's going on overthere but the wave of immigration into Europe from near east and higher taxes probably is the straw that broke the camel's back .

The mass immigration of essentially unfit people into the country is definitely an issue. But the root cause of this particular uprising is the fuel taxes being levied against the working class citizens in an attempt to control their fuel usage, and therefore their contribution to  "climate change". WTF?

This uprising is not comprised of a bunch of disgruntled kids like the Antifa crowd who don't know anything about anything. It's very much middle-aged and middle-income people who have just been pushed too far by the Socialist and PC agendas. I'm surprised it's taken the citizens this long to fight back. Then again, they're French. Sorry.

They are the people from the suburbs and farm countryside  

That's why there piss  off they unlike the people living in Paris  that can move around by subway they actually are forced to drive  the tax is hitting them the hardest.

May of worked years ago but with the internet people are starting to catch on that most talk about climate change is bs exaggerated stuff .

Apparently this is media spin and not quite correct. People on the ground there are saying this is a predominantly anti-EU ,anti globalist issue at its heart and the tax narrative is being pushed front and center to reduce the size and scope of the issue in terms of public consumption in other EU nations so as to try and contain the matter as being a local and smaller concern. They are terrified of mass revolt.
