A recent study released by Center for Immigration Studies shows that President Trump’s $18 billion border wall would pay for itself by cutting welfare to illegal aliens. The study, prepared for the Subcommittee on National Security of the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, and for the Department of Homeland Security, also estimates that if a wall is not built, there will be 1.7 million illegal border crossings over the next decade. The director of the CIS study, Dr. Steven Camarota, says that if a wall stopped just 200,000 of those crossings, the country would benefit from fiscal savings from money usually spent on welfare and other benefits spent on illegal aliens crossing the border from Central America and Mexico, saving the US billions of dollars more. Camarotta also says that providing free health care for all illegal aliens living in the United States could cost American taxpayers an additional $660,000,000,000 ‘’billion’’ every decade in expenses. I'm voting Republican.
