mowin
I wore out a pair of boots the past couple yrs and never found a single morel. Mowing a clients lawn I ran over two huge ones before I realized what they were. Found several on the edge of clients lawns last yr. Figured I'd take the mower through the woods this yr. PREDATE
Ive heard reports of a few early morels in Cattaraugus county, Buffalo, Poughkeepsie, and the Hudson valley.I checked a few of my spots late last week before the cold snap with no luck. I had 1/2" of snow on my lawn Sat and Sunday morning so it seems like we'll need a good week of temps in the 60's with lows above 40 to get the soil temp back up.Should be seeing some pop within 2 weeks. This just means that we can focus on turkeys for the first week or so!Sent from my LGMP260 using Tapatalk

crappyice
I’m stuck at another teacher detention today but heading to the woods after our 1:30 release time.(instead of cutting grass- sorry Biz!). May give a few nature study woods in Westchester a check- no idea if they EVER exist in these places but the surrounding ground cover of your pics look similar Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
PREDATE
Still a tad early up here in the fingerlakes. The 6 I just found were under ash and still small. Normally in this spot they're around the elms, but nothing yet.Sent from my LGMP260 using Tapatalk
