Climber is definitely easier for me than sticks but you do need a straight tree with no branches.

Exactly , the area I hunt only has straight trees , I would kill for a tree with some branches for cover .

i climb until i hit branches if they aren't stupidly high up.  trees just have to be reasonably straight. only problem with a small (lightweight) climber is you have to orient the platform pointed 180 degrees from the direction of slight lean otherwise you'll have a smaller platform and odd surface to lean against.

I usually sit on the cross bar of my top portion and face the tree,if I'm not standing ,I stand most of the day.

The PC term is big boned Steve.

Seriously, they are more comfortable than you would think once set.  But I hated setting the sticks up.

Sorry for the mistake. :pardon: I wasn't pointing any fingers or insinuating anything. I am overweight by about 10 lbs. myself but  am far from being "big boned". Just doesn't look like something I would be interested but I am sure some will like them and find the right situation(s) to use them.
