goosifer
I've never been sure if you have to do a new one each year. Regardless, I think I threw mine away with my tags from last year so I filled out a new one. It's on page 23 of this year's NY hunting guide booklet. Silly requirement. nyslowhand
FYI - You only need to fill out this cert once per DEC regs. Although it is actually dated when you sign it, it is NOT an annual cert w/updated signing. See 2nd paragraph in bold type: https://www.dec.ny.gov/docs/wildlife_pdf/19crossbows.pdf
bugsNbows
It requires a DEC ID # that changes yearly. That implies one needs a new certificate every year.
nyslowhand
FYI - It's the tag# in large print that needs to be displayed that is your DEC ID#. Mine has been the same forever, at least last 10yrs or so. Each individual tag you put on a harvest (deer, bear, turkey, etc.) are different each year and those are not ones you use as DEC ID#.
