Is anyone heading out this weekend for the Adirondack early season?

My inlaws are on Pesico RD above Stratford. No word if they got anything yet.

I was busy thi weekend redoing a bathroom and itchen floor. , But I am gosing to camp next friday and spend the weekend to do just that

Clifford I hunt that same area... We have a camp in Emmonsburg... and hunt the Edick Rd just out of Stratford.

I was there over the weekend (Schroon Lake area) hot and humid, nothing was moving, I was massacred by mosquitos, it was way to early for hunting.....came up empty...of well, at least now I know not to step into the woods when the temps are above 60 degrees...

Im looking forward in going but for rifle season. Anyone know any good areas?

Moose River Recreation area. Call first, there's a Ranger office in Limekiln, I can't remember the name of the one on the other side. Might be Cedar River. They have rules like only 4x4, no self-cotained campers etc. There are camping spots but the gates are open from 7am to 7pm so be prepared. I haven't been there in a while so rules might have changed. Good luck.
