RangerClay
I was practicing the other night when I looked down and saw one of my string silencer laying on the deck. It was the original that came with my Hoyt. I'm going to look into something new. What have you had success with on your bow?
otis2
Do they make after market string suppressors for older bows? Edited September 22, 2011 by otis2
burmjohn
What about those Limbsaver string leaches?
WNYBuckHunter
I use leeches. They were still in great shape after 4 years on my last bow.
Doewhacker
Depends on the bow. You need to have a threaded hole on the opposite side of where your stabilizer mounts to screw one into. They make them that you can mount it to the front and come around and have the stabilizer too, thats what I have along with string leaches. The leaches I don't care for, already had one break. I used to use the rubber whisker style that went into the string and most likely will go back to them.
SweetMike
i have used the string leaches and i liked them. what i use now is Monkey tails on my string and cables. they really do a good job of taking any twang out of the string.. fasteddie
I use the Limbsaver string leaches . My bow sounds much quieter when I don't have my hearing aids in my ears .

They are also really easy to replace when they break. However, I have had mine on for a year now and no signs of breaking.
