Woodcock!

I been flushing a lot of woodcock the last few days! I can't remember the last time i've seen so many. I might have to get a stamp and my hip number this year! Anyone else seeing them around??

So how many of those critters would it take for a meal? I had one last year that took over my driveway ..... I actually had to get out of my car and chase him off the driveway so I could get up to the house ..... lol. But I remember thinking that I would have to have a pile of them to make much of a meal for the two of us.

I have friends that only use the legs, they fill crockpots with the drumsticks.

I like them too much to take that many, though why I let them go past me to be slaughtered in the south all winter I dont know.

if I showed you photos you'd shake your head wondering how many woodcock must be on the table to make a pile of drumsticks that big.LOL

This is strange cause I was seeing some the first couple weeks in october. Had to step on them till they take off and scare the hell out of me.
