Just wanted to wish everybody good luck this weekend out on Long Island!!!! Ill be out all weekend and with the slightly cooler weather hopefully the bucks will be moving good. Hopeing to see some good pictures when i get back on sunday!!

Was out from 6:30 to 3 today, decided to hunt October from the ground this year....I got crushed by chiggers

I saw 2 nice does move past me about 100 yds away late this afternoon. They worked their way up to where my son's stand was. His first time ever out hunting and he took a shot at the second doe. Unfortunately he misjudged the distance and wound up shooting just under her. We found his arrow and verified no blood but he was so pumped up that he had an opportunity even though he missed. He cant wait for tomorrow now. All in all it was a great experience just to see him smiling ear to ear. It made my day.

Decided to sleep in this morning. Just don't have the drive like I used to. Went out this afternoon. Nothing, not a deer. Tough hunting right now. Abundance of acorns and warm weather. Looking foward to the rut. Good luck all.

Good morning guys, opening day eas a good day! Had does all day, button buck, 4 pointer, 8 pointer, and then a mature 7 pointer with some extra junk follow in the 8. I could see the 8 eas a younger dear so he got the pass.... smoked the 7 at 25 yards! Just trying to figure out how to post a pic from my smart phone
