Dakota Dog
Last night I was getting the last of my gear out for opening day of bow. I got my back pack out that I keep my leafy camo in and man did it smell like doe sent. I left a bottle of doe sent in a zip lock bag in the pocket, it did not leak out but everthing in my back pack smells. My question is should I just let my camo air out or should I wash it (with no soaps or detergents) and then let it air out. What are your thoughts? biggamefish
Hey if you smell like a doe it might be good. I personally would wash it with baking soda and a sentless detergent. I use the 20 mule team borax. It might smell like doe to you but it might be off sent to a buck or other deer. I wouldn't take the chance. Fletch
I would wash it as well in a no scent soap. Better safe than sorry.
Marti375
I would just rinse it with water and hang it outside to air dry.

nyantler
it's doe scent.. the same stuff you're going to use anyway probably...it wouldn't be a big deal if you wore the clothes as they are... except that you may not be able to stand yourself in the woods.. for that reason alone I'd wash them..... as for the bucks... I'd rather have them smelling that than smelling human scent... Edited October 13, 2011 by nyantler
