Found him dead...

Found this while out hunting today. He had been there a little while, mostly just bones and a little fur left. 18.5" inside spread and 6.25" circumference at the base. No clear evidence of how he died. Really nice buck, such a shame.

Sucks and I can relate. Last year I found a real nice 10 point in the middle of my land that was in the same shape. Thanksgiving last year. I was bummed. Had him on trail cams as well.

Expect to find quite a few like that while shed hunting. These years with no tracking snow usually turn up a few unrecovered bucks from the season.

Cool find. One of the guys I was hunting with last week found a buck skull as well, not as big as that one though.
