13BVET
Okay, here's the deal. .22 cannot be used at Stewart. Shotguns, and since air rifles are not specifically prohibited, can be used also.
Elmo
Elmo, The inner road system at Stewart is currently closed, so there will be no vehicle entry unless you are authorized. Most of us will be parking outside, and walking in. Some spots in the Forest does accomodate for more than 1 vehicle, depending on the spot. Dave, No rifles allowed in this State Forest, but shotguns, airguns, and bows are allowed. I am not sure if handguns and crossbows are allowed or not. Ah, yes. Forgot about that. I haven't been back since regular gun season ended.

13BVET
Drury Lane has around 7 single spot parking areas. The idea is to get these spots early in the morning-pretty much hogging them, I guess. What the hell-works for me!

13BVET
I usually just run 84 West to the Stewart Airport Exit (I believe 5A). Go to the stop light-make a left. That's Drury Lane.

waltny
I kid you not guys. This one spot over there is loaded with greys. I don't know if it's a matter of nobody hunting them, or what, but I hit 2 different spots, and in both spots, I saw nice greys. One particular spot, though, was overwhelmed with them. I had the .410 single shot, which isgreat for those, but I really don't eat them, so I didn't shoot any. What days are good for you guys? I know I'm definitely going over again this week, but it has to be early, or you can't get a spot. Shawn, are you good with your license? Im 2 hours north, would love to see if I can get a KP for that many greys. Id even go the extra mile and finally mount the camera for through the scope video footage. NY Region 3 Trapper
Never thought I would see such a thread on the topic of going after squirrels in an organized fashion. Kind of sounds interesting. I live not that far away. Have to check my schedule. With so many people I'm wondering how many can be bagged after the first shot though. Any confirmation if this is going to be done. Never hunted the property. More interested in Coyotes. Seems to be alot of open fields scenerios. I agree. The only thing there seems to be plenty of, besides squirrels, are crows. No shortage of those over there.

Elmo
As long as it's not raining (haven't seen any squirrels come out during the rain), I'll be there. I take just as much pleasure taking down a couple of crows. I'm not so much interested in the squirrels as I am getting together for a group hunt and meeting some fellow hunters.
