See those movies where someone dives into a river and people are shooting at him and you see the bullets whiz by underwater? Not true...water completely stops bullets, especially at an angle.

I saw that one. That was great. The 50 cal against water? nope.

Anyone who has shot water jugs stacked in a line already knows this though. Water stops bullets fast!

I was an armorer for a SEAL team in Hawaii and firing a gun under water is viable. The range when fired under water is only a few yards. Mind you in close combat this is still leathal. The preferred way to shoot under water by SEALs is out ofthe water. While remaining submerged and aiming at a target on the peir. The pistol being submerged has a natural suppresor from the water.
