Clearing Brush

Recommended Posts

I want to plant corn this year, but I need to clear about an acre of scrub brush and small trees (maybe 2 inches in diameter. I was wondering if anybody knew the best way to go about this. I was planning on renting a bobcat and just scraping the bucket across the field. Is this overkill, could I get away with a brush hog?

bobcat ..to push over bigger brush and trees, and pop roots out of ground. push all your brush to it works to your advantage,wind/stand wise. brush hog will cut surface down but it makes it harder to get roots out. ok if you were doing clover corn needs to go 2-3in deep so roots/stumps would be th eproblem
