Question on 17” Gm wheel fit 08 to 2017 ?

I have a guy who has 4 gm 17” wheels and tires 6 lug

He said they are off a 1998 and he had them on a 2008

my 2017 Chevy has 17” 6 hole rims .

will these fit

They should both be a 5.5" lug pattern.   Not sure about offset.

There looks like a 10mm offset ? Not sure if that matters

I found this doing a quick Google search , I couldnt find 98 but 98/99 there was the split year for the new model and could be why.

Positive offset pushes wheel out.  Probably makes no difference unless close then there could be rubbing.

You wouldnt think it would be so hard to find the stock wheel offset . It's like a closely guarded secret it seems .

I thought positive pushed the tire in?

Even so there seems lots of room and 10mm is pretty small if that’s even correct

I think the biggest issue is clearance with the brake components

You are correct, I explained it wrong.  Positive offset does tend to cause more rub.

Go to a gm forum and search. I have found info before for my 08 sierra that way.

10 mm doesn't sound like an offset. So small of a measurement. I can measure my spare if needed. It's. 17" steel wheel. In my bed because of course the under bed storage crank siezed up on me. I also have a cracked factory alloy I came measure for you. Let me know.

I have 2018 wheels off a Silverado on my 2008 Chevy Avalanche. So should fit.

Just measured my spare. 5.5" of backspacing. Not sure if that's what's you mean by offset. I assumed that it was what you were asking about in earlier post.
