they are on mine in 9w, been cutting and selling ash for last 3 years while i can. had sections almost 90% ash. price is up a little right now. if your along a thruway or major route its not hard for these little buggers to hitch a ride you realy will notice areas in 2-4 years when the trees that are infested die from girdling... i even have seen asian longhorn beetles in my area, and they're supose to be closer to nyc..

Saw some mention EAB on another post, so I figured it would be good to see who has them on their land? I'm in 4F and as of now I don't have them but I know they are coming. Most of my woods is ash!

You have a while before your going to see any damage. The closest infestations are Bath to the west and Kingston to the south east.

There is no known infestation in 9W. 9R and 9K yes there are lots of beetles in that area. Thinning ash is not a bad idea if you can get money for it but clear cutting it just because is not very advisable at this point. It could take years before it fully spreads to your area.

IF YOU THINK YOU HAVE ALB, PM me with a GPS or street address. I AM DEAD SERIOUS. I will follow up with someone to check it out. The economic and environmental consequences from ALB will make EAB look like a ant hill. There is no known infestation outside NYC (in the state of New York).

We don't have EAB yet, but we do have, I believe is called, ash die back. Moss grows on the trunk, and the lower limbs die. Only some ash are affected where others are untouched.

Yes you do have EAB - Niagara county was confirmed positive about three months ago.
