  2. I'll leave the house at 5. Have a 10 minute walk to where I'm going to hunt. Have them on camera most mornings in that area. Hurt my back on Sunday and still is killing me so it will be a slow go but I'm going. Good luck everyone.
  3. Saturday for the youth hunt our roosted bird was coming down before 6am. We where in the blind by 5am to play it safe as the bird was one the edge of the woods only 120 yards away.
  4. Yup, I only have to go out the back door but 5am is time enough for me to get back in and set up. 99% if the time I have the bird roosted the night before.
  5. If you're blind hunting I'd go earlier. The skys already light enough for them to see you going in if they're on the roost. They might even be coming down at that time and starting to move. I'll be in my blind at 5-5:15

  12. Celebrated two birthdays Sunday PM, so that meant eating two pieces of blue velvet cake and a big bowl of watermelon chunks so I was too sugared up to sleep. What else to do but go outside and hunt mus to work it off. SJC

  14. My son missed a Jake in PA Saturday in the miserable weather, followed it up with a beautiful double bearded heavy Tom. Saw 11 beards in these high winds and it was not easy, we covered 5-6 miles locating a dozen birds, when we found them they wanted to play. Our buddies son missed a Jake for his first bird. Back at it Thursday.
