It passed the State Senate and needs to go in front of the Assembly. If approved, the bill will move forward to the Dragon Lady to sign.
-
Nothing yet. But in my part of the woods it passed! LOL.
-
I have not seen anything to that effect as of yet. Al

I finished planting my field corn and sweet corn today. I’m glad the 5 day stretch of rain they had predicted was a typical weather forecasting miscue. The fields are drying out real good now and most of the neighbors are cutting hay. A big doe was back checking out my work, when I went back up to the barn for more fertilizer. Hopefully, she hangs around for a few more months so I can get her into the freezer during the early antlerless gun season. I used the new heavy duty compound angling Tufline grader blade, that I recently traded an old disk for, to cut in some ditches in case we get some more heavy rain.

I may just ship to my buddy in PA and have him bring it when he visits
-
As stated above, to be legal ammo has to be shipped to an FFL, a genuine pain in the ass and that is what this state loves doing to it's citizens, "make everything gun related as hard as possible"! Being a handloader I can avoid most of this hogwash, but when it comes to rimfire ammo I have to jump through the hoops and pay through the nose. I can mitigate the cost somewhat by ordering in bulk, my FFL is The GunWorks of central NY located in Verona NY, they have a straight fee of $20, so if I purchase a couple of cases of ammo it is still within reason. I buy mostly from Target Sports and they ship directly to GunWorks, when it comes in,I just run over there and get the paperwork out of the way, pay the fee and pickup my ammo. Al

Curious .... if ordering online would using a Pre Paid Credit Card be an option ? Pre Paid using cash , as in not track able ?
-
Yea that’s what I’ve heard but this place said they ship right to me ? Maybe they do the background check ?
-
I have talked to some dealers that ship online and they told me they can still send to NY just has to go to an ffl. Not sure how they track it.
-
Wonder how ny monitors that idiotic law ? Or if they do

“Legally” he has to ship it to an FFL. That is for the state of NY, not just NYC. Not sure who would get in trouble if he ships directly to you. Have never ordered ammo online. I do weekend trips to neighboring states and stock up while I am there

Looking at trying some Berger .243 , out of state dealer has it on the shelf and says he can ship to me in NY I thought there was a law it had to shop to an FFL ? Or is that just NYC? And if he’s wrong and ships it to me, who gets in trouble ? Has anyone experienced this ?
