Thinking of selling some guns I don’t use
luberhill replied to luberhill's topic in General Chit Chat
Yea I will for sure .. I was thinking about using gun broker or Hessneys Auction .. The 1100 has a brand new Leupold scope and a Damar mount .. they would take the scope off and sell it separate .. Thats not smart in my opinion but I guess they know I’ll try to get some pricing ideas but I’m sure I’ll get a bunch of tire kickers .. May be best to just auction them and let them take the 15 percent - Today

Haven’t decided 100 percent yet but these just sit in the safe , get cleaned , oiled , stored Question is , I know I don’t want to deal with tire kicker lowballers . Would someplace like Hessneys be the place to go ? Or use GunBroker sales as a starting point ? They are all in great shape .. safe queens I’m thinking .. only thinking of selling : Henry .22 lever action Winchester 30/30 model 94 with brand new Leupold scope Remington 1100 LT 20 with smooth bore slug barrel and brand new Leupold scope with Damar mount Rossi model 92 .357 lever action Ruger LCR .22 revolver All are in excellent condition For the right price I’ll throw in ammo

You can have your pick of thousands of knives more suitable for actual use than what you see on that website.... Not answering what you want to hear, but a quality most useful knife with handbuilt quality behind them? for general camping use, tough to beat a Camillus made Camp or Boy Scout knife. a zillion are available on line used (as the original Camillus is out of business for about 20 years). Then add a quality hatchet for your fire wood. And I am not talking a "cool looking custom" . If you want to look like you know what you are doing, learn to sharpen and use those tools, and you will look much more competent in camp than the guy that is all flash with no idea how to use them.

Not sure what it is about this one, but it seems to be completely “unloosable”. Every time I temporarily “misplace” it, it finds its way back. It spent one winter and early spring outside by the dock up at my in-laws place in the Adirondacks, after I lost it outside while ice fishing. A house guest found it the next summer. It actually spent the last couple weeks up here again, when I forgot it down on the nightstand in one of the downstairs bedrooms on our prior trip. Somehow, it ended up hidden behind the alarm clock. No worries, I got it back again. Before I had that, as my “edc” knife, I’d go thru one or two a year. I’ve got a drawer full of backups now, which I rarely need. I carried this little “Outdoor Times” USA Case, the last couple weeks. Back to the “spare drawer” with that, when we get home from this trip tomorrow. Old Reliable Imperial is back again. I was very thankful to have it back yesterday, when I used the ground down small blade as a screwdriver to adjust the carburetor screw on my 1950 Mercury Super-5 outboard motor: t That got me out to some nice 4th of July smallmouth bass:

Sometimes, the best value is in the bargain boxes. I took a liking to Imperial, years ago.
