  11. I meant i have had chicken for 7 yrs but these i have are from the age of 5 months to like a yr and half.. I don't keep mine more than 2.5 - 3 yrs. I use for broth or feed back to them or bait if they are at 3 yr mark. I just bought scratch today and feed them for 2 wks on it and i have 2 young roosters and her that will be soup. I gave them laying pellets so i want that out of the system be i kill them
  12. I have questions I can't find on line. Had chicken like 7yrs now. I have heard of hens turning dominant after a rooster is gone. Shoe will crow and I believe stop laying. This is now happening with one of mine. I did not have a rooster though. This is a jersey hen or New Hampshire they are pretty big and kinda looks like a roaster with no spurs. And I know I have gotten eggs from her. She just started crowing a few months ago. Is she gonna stop laying eggs? If I get a rooster will she stop crowing? Should she become my din din? . . . . . Help

    Why?

We put up almost 25 signs yesterday hoping i don't get any trespassers this year. I bought a variety of color signs (3) and cut boards for some and painted some florescent colors, put them up high so they are seen and can't be reached. Had to go over a line to get them on our trees and there were 2 cameras and i held the signs so they could see what were doing. I have been lucky my cameras have not been touched and was surprised this guy had his locked and cabled, too bad people can't be trusted not to touch what is no theirs
  16. It is a cool video, you are almost lucky. Would be so much cooler if she wasn't enticed by treats, no? I think you will find most people don't feed the deer because no matter the season or the reason it is illegal so don't assume we break the law. And duh fellow hunters are always sarcastic
  17. you should feel bad, are you giving her treats?! you will be the reason she will be killed early season
  18. I normally wake up at 5 but i went on vacation and slept in the best bed ever in all my life! Since hitting deer and having surgery i now sleep till 630 and it kills my back. JimR hope all is well
