  1. Yes, as I said above, the only ones that cannot recognize extreme mental instability are those that suffer from it. I'm sorry to be so blunt ...... Well, maybe not really .... lol.
  2. I know a crazy person when I hear him, and usually the only person that cannot recognize weird and irrational behavior, is the one displaying it.
  3. I have no problems with those that express political and philosophical differences with any of the politicians on either side of the aisle. But when that turns to constant irrational hate speech and starts sounding like someone who is beyond mere disagreement and sounds like any day they could flip out, I find that a little weird. When someone starts wishing chaos and failure on the entire country simply based on their own internal hatred, that to me is a flag that someone should maybe be watching. There are people who go over the edge with their rabid political hate-speech. I think you are one of them. It's an extreme behavior that indicates a bit of instability that can turn into who knows what.
  4. I was very involved in farming as a youngster and thought I knew a whole lot about it and the equipment involved. But last time I went to Empire Farm Days, I found myself looking at some very strange farm equipment and asking a whole lot of dumb-sounding questions. So I was wondering what some of you people remember about farming practices and equipment that over the decades has become obsolete. As an example, I may be one of the few that is still alive that ever got involved in putting up loose hay. Or sitting on a combine bagging grain (I don't even remember that knot that I tied so many thousands of times). Or using a sickle-bar mower. Or operating a dump rake. Anyone else here that can remember articles and procedures of farming that have long ago disappeared over the years.
  5. I guess we are so impressed with how our publicly funded school system is working that we can't wait to apply the same "free-stuff" mentality to our colleges. Sorry, just trying to get back on topic for a bit.
  6. It is just some weird personality flaw or mental defect that causes him to get some kind of sick kick out of spewing hate. Just look closely at any one of his messages. I hope that some homeland security agency is keeping an eye on this guy, because, I really don't think he is quite right in the head and per his tone and wording, he may be of some danger to himself and those around him. Seriously, the boy (or whatever) has an element of mindless hatred and instability in his ravings that bear watching.
  7. Did anyone seriously think that the design of crossbows would stop all changes right where they are today? ....Seriously? Look what they did to the evolution of recurve and longbow when the compound came out. They went about as far as they could with the compound, and so now they have been provided with a brand new platform to start with. Prepare to be amazed. Everything but the "bang" folks.
  8. Since the election, I have moved from an "anyone but Hillary" Trump supporter to an enthusiastic Trump fan. That news conference sealed the deal. I have never seen a President-to-be treated to so much absolutely vile, revolting bias and orchestrated hateful and even illegal activities in an effort to sabotage his presidency. And yet he has taken on all comers directly and emerged more in-control, and popular and determined to succeed than before. He feeds off these creeps. His "bring-it" attitude and some of the out-of-the-box thinking shows me that he does not just want to add his presidency to his long resume, but apparently has been thinking long and hard for years about what is really needed in this country. Some of these brilliant ideas have me scratching my head and wondering why nobody else never had the imagination and intestinal fortitude to step up and offer some of this new creative thinking. This guy is serious about being a historically revered President who has a real plan full of new and well-thought out ideas worked out to move the country toward a healing from the wounds of the socialists. And no conjured up fake news, or outlaw media companies who let their bias dictate their news have a chance at having any impact on his coming successes. He simply grows stronger with each challenge and dirty trick. Finally, we have a real thinking President that is interested in doing much more than advancing the status quo. Strap in libs.... you're in for a rough ride to irrelevancy.
  9. Now, I want all those who worship at the altar of statistics (armchair deer managers) to remember the role of the pollsters in this election. It appears that stats can make results and analysis come out to whatever their agenda supports. So when Cornell pushes those computer buttons and they spit out deer population numbers and other hard "facts", keep these poll results in mind and maintain a healthy level of skepticism and don't take statistical management as the direct word from God. Just thought I would bring some of this back to the theme of this site ..... lol.
  10. It doesn't matter what the left thinks or forgives or whatever. Trump is daily demonstrating how to make the left more and more irrelevant. He is showing that there is nothing to fear there from the pinko element of society including the left leaning news media that makes up the news to suit their agenda. I think there are a lot of conservatives taking notes on how to properly handle these people.
  11. Why do these companies always hire customer service people that cannot communicate with customers? Nothing is more frustrating than trying to straighten out problems with people who you can't understand. Usually the situation is already confusing enough with out the added problem of a communications barrier. These companies must understand that.
  12. Listen to all the excuses why Hillary lost. Boo-hoo-hoo, the system is picking on me. They're all out to get me. Not to be cruel, or to continue beating a dead horse, but the real reasons that count are simply that people didn't trust her (for very good reasons), and she didn't run fast enough from being an Obama clone. To look at it all from an optimistic viewpoint, it could even mean that people are not ready to move to a socialist government and hasn't really bought into the communist messages that the left has been selling. Let's face it the American public finally found their backbone and their brain and actually expressed their displeasure and disgust with the leftward push being forced on them.
  13. It is still a pretty crude prototype, and not without problems, but you can see where a real R&D branch of any of the crossbow manufacturers could work this design over and turn it into a real slick weapon. That takes care of the shortcomings of the crossbow being a single shot weapon. The guy is one smart critter, by golly. One of many that are furiously busy inventing new things on the new platform of a crossbow. I am not surprised. But for now, he should forget the full-auto capabilities and simply concentrate on a quality "repeater" and as Tim-The-Toolman would say, "MORE POWER!". Wait until the new Binford 2000 comes out. I'm sure it's in the works already ...... lol.
  14. Ha-ha-ha ...... it's not even the silliest-looking. http://www.outdoorhub.com/stories/2015/10/27/5-massive-prehistoric-deer-species-makes-modern-deer-look-tiny/
  15. I have to say that that is the silliest looking thing that I have ever seen. It doesn't even look like a deer's antlers. It probably lived near a nuke power plant.
  16. If you or the bank intend to have a home inspection prior to purchase, You might want to ask the inspector in casual conversation what he thinks about the drain system. It may draw some extra attention to that area. I suspect there is nothing amiss, but it would supply a bit of extra comfort about the issue. Perhaps it is a belt and suspenders kind of thing, or it may be masking some kind of problem. I don't think that is standard practice. Are the two drains side by side, or at opposite ends of the house?
  17. Anyone ever look at how this guy expresses himself. Every post is the same kind of mindless name-calling and out-of-control hate-spewing. I'm telling you, something isn't quite right with this guy. There is a real screw loose. Seriously, he has a hatred that goes beyond mere political discussion, something that is a bit unsettling.
  18. Yeah, that's a pretty scary thought, isn't it?
  19. I am not a lawyer, but I played softball with some......lol. Now there is a statement that offers credibility ..... Ha-ha-ha-ha.
  20. 47 years and look at what's happened to prices. Good thing they came up with plastic money or we wouldn't be able to carry all the money it takes to buy stuff .... lol.
  21. I'll bet Huntscreek didn't sit around wishing and hoping that Obama would wreck the country and give us chaos and failure. Probably didn't threaten to move to Canada. It is likely that he didn't run through the streets breaking store windows. Probably, he did not demand worthless election recounts and do everything possible to overturn the legal voting process. Damn what is the matter with these Dems? No respect for anything and now no respect for the country. I suspect that in reality even Europe wouldn't want any of these weirdos. I know that my Brother-in-law from Canada told me that all those that were threatening to move to Canada wouldn't be welcome there anyway. But Canada didn't have to worry about it. These characters showed their credibility and character by demonstrating that they were all mouth.
  22. You have to wonder what made it all work for Pataki. I can't remember who he ran against, but it must have been a real loser. You have to be pretty bad to lose a Governor's election to a Republican here....lol. But I am curious as to what formula he used to create that miracle. And then there was always good ol' Rockefeller, but we know what his secret was. He was just the Socialist Republican that out-liberaled anyone that the Democrats could put up.
  23. That's the thing about "lake effect", sunny and clear in one area, and a few miles down the road people are getting buried.
  24. This forum is a valuable learning tool, and the one lesson that can be readily observed here has to do with telling people they are doing something wrong. People do not always take that sort of thing the way it is intended. So perhaps we have amassed enough info here that shows that people like to do everything right, but seldom want to hear such advice from those offering it. You may want to arrange an actual visit during a butchering session. Perhaps there may be something obvious going on where you may make a casual suggestion phrased very carefully.
