  1. Yes you actually need to use last years license until October 1st
  2. I shoot nothing but the Rage 2 blade... with that being said the O-ring does stink and they do open easily in the quiver. They do such damage though I can't stop shooting them, they have killed a lot of deer for me. The fact that they open in the quiver doesn't really matter to me because I take the quiver off my bow in the stand. I always knock an arrow when I first get into the stand and check the broad head ( make sure the blades are seated correctly in the O-ring and the broad head is on tight). I am sure there are others out there that are as good or better but I don't want to change something that has worked so well for me
  3. If I don't kill the buck I'm after in bow season I usually don't see them in rifle.
  4. Since they started the October 1st opener I see bachelor groups every year. No real sparring around me yet.... maybe just starting a bit
  5. Awesome bucks! So you can hunt on an 11acre piece? Is the area bow only?
  6. Yeah but you can't use lead split shot in NY and it's not on the shelf... You can't light off fireworks and they are not on the shelf... I mean I would think if it is illegal to use something in NY then it shouldn't be in the stores to buy.
  7. I was just in Wal-Mart and this is what they have stacked on the shelves. I had to take a pic because of this thread. How can they sell it when you can't use it in this state!!???

  9. Honest guy right there!
  10. Ya think?!!!! There are two types of people on this forum the people who are honest and the people who are perfect. I am an honest guy.... I don't bait....and I have probably shot more MATURE deer than most that preach to me on this site over the years. I enjoy this site for reading harvest stories and seeing all the pictures everyone has to share...that's about it. When I ready posts about how food plots are baiting I just laugh! When I read posts about how you shouldn't go hunting because it might rain that day or it is windy I LAUGH! Now you can call me an a-hole but it's the truth. People sit around and like to pretend they are perfect behind the keyboard.
  11. That's what I finished my basement for!
  12. After reading this thread I am not even sure what planet I am on anymore. I am quite sure of one thing though.... people on this forum like to preach like they are saints and write these well thought out comments. I think most of it is BS and I bet 50% of the guys who talk about how bad it is have done it at some point. Makes me laugh..... I personally don't bait, if baiting is putting a little something in front of a camera to get the deer to stop for a pre season pic once and a while then yeah I have baited deer in the past. I can tell you this, take a trip to Ohio or Saskatchewan where you can bait and you tell me how easy it is to kill a mature buck. Anyone can kill a young buck or doe with or without bait, when it comes to mature deer it is a whole different story! If you don't' do everything else right and do your homework you won't kill a good one unless you have dumb luck. Trust me that a pile of C'mere deer in the middle of the woods isn't going to draw deer in from all over. Anyways to answer the question....NO I wouldn't want baiting to be legal, I like the rule the way it is. As far as would I do it?? Be tough not to if I could, but I would try not to! I would like to say I wouldn't but then I would be lying like most others in this thread. It's kind of like crossbows... I was TOTALLY AGAINST IT but now that they are legal it is tough to not have the mentality of if you can't beat em' join em'.... IMO
  13. Here's a nice rub I just found! 6 in the same area already! It's almost time boys!
  14. I shoot a 2008 Bowtech Guardian, I can't bring myself to get a new bow because I love it so much. The bow just feels right in my hands and I am DEADLY accurate with it.
  15. second buck doesn't make 100"
  16. A couple more from the Cams...The 8 is the biggest I have on the property so far so I guess he will be in the hit list with the bow. Not a giant but a shooter with the bow.
  17. Here are a few pics I have so far this year. Just found out that the farmer that I lease from is going to log everything I hunt this year so I am officially f'ed!
  18. ??? You have me really confused... What was the point of your original post?
  19. Go to Google Image and click on the camera that you will see in the search bar. This allows you to either browse to a image you have saved on your PC or paste a URL to an image from a website. Google will then go out and return any image that is close to that one and even sometimes show you the exact image. You can then click on the image and see where it originally came from. I have done it with several pics people post on this site and found fakes. I usually don't say anything because I'm not looking to fight with people.
  20. Ha! Nice try! A pic of a monster buck with the title "What d'ya think?" and people were supposed to do a reverse lookup on the pic to find out what site the pic belonged to? There is no way that 90% of the guys on this site would have even know to do a revers lookup on the image and they would have never known where it came from. C'mon man that is total bs. Funny part is you aren't alone I see this a lot on this site. Guys like to post other peoples pics that don't belong to them or aren't even from NY state....funny to me!
  21. I kind of figured I might not get an answer.....
