Little early to tell for sure but it def looks like there is a chance it is the same buck.

ANy updates on this? It said that the winners would be drawn the first week of June but no specific date? And the drawing is completely random? It isn't based ont eh story or the trailcam pics? That's how I read it but I was just checking. Thanks!

Don't want to shoot past 10yds? Tough to get allyour shots within 10yds isn't it? You can spit on them!

All of the mounts look nice but the Lion is amazing! Wow!

Next year? Every buck looks better next year! lol That buck is going to be a STUD though.. definitely a shooter THIS year if given the opportunity IMO. Good luck! I hope I get pics of a decent one this year. I usually don't put my cameras out until August though.

How big is the property? Anyone practice any type of deer managment on the bordering properties? Food sources?

All the Toms in my area have shut right down. Haven't seen many Jakes so I am not sure what they are up to. I get on a Tom within 100 yards and he just doesn't want to do anything but feed int he tilled corn fields! Luckilly I bagged a nice one early and called for my Dad and Bro-Inlaw and got them both birds becasue they are shutdown now. Good luck to all on the final weekend!

My Father and I decided to hunt together as usual on the morning of October 12, 2012. I got into the stand about an hour before daylight in hopes to not spook any deer out. It was cool and a little breezy with the wind blowing northeast, which was perfect for this particular stand location. At 7am I had a nice 6pt come behind me with a doe. He was about 50yds out in some thick stuff with no possible shot but I wouldn't have taken one anyway knowing I had better deer on the property. The one I was looking for was this beautiful 8pt that I had gotten trailcam pictures of. Around 7:30 a.m. a doe came in, she kept looking over her shoulder and ended up taking off. “Hmmm... I wonder why she did that?” I asked myself. I found out why about two minutes later when an 8 pointer showed himself at 45 yds. He was not the one I was looking for but a nice 8pt out to his ears. I slowly picked up my bow and got ready for the deer to come in under 40yds and present a broadside shot. As I was waiting, I noticed he kept looking over his shoulder and about 30 seconds later the deer that I had been hunting stepped out in front of him!!!! He was that beautiful 8pt that I had the pictures of and really wanted to shoot. I named him "BLADE" because he had a bladed main beam on the left side of his rack. I put the rangefinder on him and he was at 37yds broadside. I drew back my Bowtech Guardian and let one fly! The deer ran to the middle of the field and just stood there. I thought to myself, “Did I really just miss the deer that I have been dying to shoot?” NOPE, not when I saw the hole that the rage two blade put through him! Suddenly his legs got really wobbly and he could barely walk. He stumbled into the head row and died. He walked a total of about 40yds from start to finish. I was so excited and so happy that I shot this deer! He is the biggest buck I ever got with a bow! YES!!!

If we get an early snow then absolutely you can get an idea of what the deer are doing. Right now this late in the season with this much snow don't base a stand location on where you are seeing tracks!

Buck of a lifetime! Great story and awesome buck, hopefully I get the chance at one like that someday!

Don't pay! Take the meat they give you and NEVER go back!

Heatmizzer and TheTruth have a tie for closest guess! F'er must have looked bigger out of the box than in it! Once again both great deer!

Yeah scoring deer in NY doesn't really matter to me. They are both nice deer and I would shoot either of them! But I have to agree that it doesn't break 100", definitely would be close but I don't think quite there. I could be wrong though. Anyway both GREAT deer! And to First-Light.... You said the deer went 125!lol Have you ever seen a 130" deer?
-
I'll give you 90" between all three!

Hey, So I have a Pelican Bass Raider 10E to goof around on some small waters during the summer. It comes with rod holders that would work if you were bobber fishing or something out of the boat. I want to troll some stickbaits with small dipsy divers though. I am scared to drill holes in the plastic though, has anyone done it? What kind of rod holders will work? This boat is great for what it is... which is a little boat to goof around with and throw in the back of the truck. Any advice would be great!

Even if you were shooting the wrong grain broadhead it wouldn't shoot 2ft off in any direction... problem wiht the way you are setup or the way you are shooting your bow. If you want to blame it on the broadhead that is ok too. Let me put it to you this way I have shot arrows without ANYTHING on them, no field tip or broadhead and they still hit the target. Like I siad if we were talking inches I would totally agree witih your statement but 2ft is more than a broadhead. Good luck!
