  1. I saw the entire series on Facebook...
  2. I have a Barbett Ghost 410 that I'm selling. It has three practice bolts, three bolts for hunting (with Rage broadheads), layered style target, cocking device is already installed. Ready to go for crossbow season. Mint condition. Asking $800. I'm located in the Catskill area.
  3. I'm all for FULL legalization of ALL 1.4g consumer fireworks! Fireworks are regulated by the CPSC as to how much pyrotechnic composition is allowed in consumer fireworks. The ones you see at show are not consumer fireworks they are professional 1.3g class. Anyone who drives, uses a barbecue grill, shoots firearms or rides an atv is capable of safely using fireworks. Fireworks are the ONLY product that as usage has increased accidents have DECREASED. It's a fact. That being said there's always a learning curve and a spike in incidents but it will level off.
  4. No interest at this price point so let's try $70.
  5. Hi guys I have a older model AQUA-VU underwater camera that I'm looking to sell. It has a 5" black and white screen, 100' of kevlar reinforced cable, and the camera looks like a sunfish. The factory battery has died but I have one of those small rechargeable Cabela's batteries for it. I'm also including a brand new, never used Marcum camera panner that is battery operated and includes a 10' control cord. It was removed from it's package (by me), batteries were installed to verify that it worked and it has sat ever since. I'm asking $80. Feel free to PM me through the site or email me at [email protected] I am located in Greene County but I can meet in Greene/Columbia/Southern Albany county or Kingston area.
  6. Kawasaki Brute Force 750 4x4i EPS for the win!
  7. Hmm...bobcats, red AND grey foxes? Looks like I need to start trapping Columbia County heavily! LOL!
  8. That's a great looking machine. Can I make one suggestion? Before winter comes, remove that steel cable from your winch and replace it with about an 8' section of a 2" wide ratchet strap with a spring-gated hook on the end. The constant raising and lowering will wear out that steel cable in no time. I even tried switching to the synthetic rope, but it wore and broke also. If you feel you HAVE TO keep the steel cable for plowing, get in contact with KFI Products. I saw a review on ATVTV.com of a pulley that mounts where the roller fairlead goes to prevent damage to the cable while using it to lift the plow. Hope this helps!
  9. Yes, but I'm not too sure I should disclose. I try not to give up other people's hunting/fishing spots. I WILL however say it was in WMU 3J.
  10. Sorry lol! It was just my feeble attempt at humor. I was trying to divert people's attention from our increasing bear population in Greene County. You're right though- our bear population is DEFINITELY increasing. I've seen bears in our yard every year for the past five years plus now.
  11. I forgot to mention that the little bear came through the yard just thirty minutes before the larger one did! And although I've never seen them together, a neighbor has.
  12. Definitely cautious around these things. I've been within 20 yards of them on two different occasions and I can tell by the way they DON'T react to my presence that they know their place on the food chain...and my place on the food chain. Unfortunately, mine is below theirs.
  13. Yeah, up until five years ago or so the only one I had ever seen ran across six lanes of traffic down by Monticello. I think there is a good population in my area because we've seen them several times a year for the past five years or so. In fact, one that dressed out at 300# was taken two years ago less than a half mile from my house.
  14. Every time I watch that second video, I think "Man, that's a big bear!" On the day I got these videos (Monday) I was playing ball in the yard with our dog. After a while I stopped and was kneeling down pulling weeds from around the fire pit when the dog barked and trotted towards the road. I stood up thinking that there were people walking. I didn't see anything so I took another step towards the road and that big bear was in the road up by my truck getting ready to enter our yard! The distance between us was no more than 20 yards. The bear looked at the dog and me and I could swear I heard her chuckle as she turned her head and came down the little hill into the yard. As she walked I noticed she was kinda favoring her right rear foot so I was a little more than nervous when Liberty (our dog) decided to run towards her barking. I called her back and she came and stood by me as the bear walked down the trail you see in the video up behind our house and into the swamp that borders the property.
  15. Here is a daytime video of what I believe to be the same bear from the nighttime video and the mother (possibly) of the bear in the second video. Little Bear.wmv Big Bear.wmv
  16. I thought I would post a video of a bear I've got that walks fifty feet behind the house. It's really good sized. I've got a daytime video of this bear and a smaller one, but they are too big to post on the forum. 045.AVI

  18. Not ours, lol. The dog and I were in the yard Monday and she started barking and trotting towards the road. I turned to see what she was barking at thinking it was people. I didn't see anything so I took a step towards the corner of the house and there was a large black bear standing up by the road getting ready to come into the yard! It did and Liberty went right towards it. I had to call her back a few times but she came back to me. She's not big by any means- she's a black lab/border collie mix that at most goes 30# but she's got heart. This was actually the second time she's done that. The first time we were all in the house on a Saturday morning around 9:00am and my son looked out his window and yells" There's a bear in the yard!" Then my girlfriend turns to me and tells me to go outside and get Liberty before the bear does. ( Sure honey, I guess I'm expendable) I went out there and the bear is looking at me and the dog then comes into the yard and Liberty goes towards it like it's no big deal. Eventually it walks away like we weren't even there.
  19. This man is obviously drunk and doesn't know what he's saying! Nothing to see here. Move along!
  20. That's definitely two different bears. Awesome!
  21. What's the general location of these pics? I see you call yourself Catskillkid. Were they from that area?
  22. I bought my girlfriend a Barnett Ghost 410 for Christmas last year (not for hunting, but because she watches The Walking Dead and her favorite character (Daryl) uses one) and after shooting it, I'm thinking it would be an awesome crossbow for taking a deer this fall! I have some new Rage broadheads I received as a Christmas present when I was planning on buying a bow that I may be able to use.
  23. Is six kits alot for one litter?
