And who do you plan on having in your corner to protect our 2nd amendment rights? Obama? Good luck with that!
-
It is truly saddening that the way that this thread has developed has taken the point of the OP which was pointing out Ted's ability and fearlessness to support and stand up for gun owners rights and the 2nd amendment and has been turned into a hate bashing rhetoric of how "racist" some on this board may think he is. I don't give a rats a$$ about Ted's opinions on people's race or ethnic backgrounds. That is his opinion and last I checked he's guaranteed that right under the constitution, and likewise that right extends to all of you who call him a racist. But I give a lot more than a rats a$$ if our guns and our 2nd amendment rights are continuously restricted and eventually taken away. He tells it like it is with facts and statistics. When it comes to protecting my rights I want him in my corner.

How about this article written by Ted himself http://p.washingtontimes.com/news/2011/sep/27/morgan-freeman-reads-from-the-wrong-script/

And here's another - Ted's response to accusations of being racist for certain remarks he made on a radio show http://legacy.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=11835 Case still open....

And here is one article that backs WNY's comment where Teds statements were taken out of context. http://newsbusters.org/blogs/noel-sheppard/2010/08/21/olbermann-slams-nugent-speaking-beck-rally-nugents-not-attending

I don't believe any of the hunting shows on tv are real. To be real I think they need to show the uncut versions of the film takes. Or shots taken from the actual hunters point of view using wearable cameras or gun/bow mounted cameras that remain on from the time the hunter sets up to the point of the kill. I know thats not practical to do nor is it a money maker. I also have two cameras when hunting Turkey, one on me and one on the birds. Now I have three with my bow mount. I too think its easier to hunt turkey and get it on film.

Earlier I was bringing in some wood for my stove and it was flurrying. I told my son and he got excited. By the time he got up from in front of the Xbox it stopped. Lol!

Funny! I was expecting to see picture of a driveway covered in 2 feet of snow somewhere up north like the North Pole. LOL!

Question on sound proofing

I plan on leveling the area in the feld where I'm going to set up the decoy. So I'm not concerned about high grass. I may just try spraying on the foam directly onto the chassis near where the noise is coming from. -

Question on sound proofing
Deerthug replied to Deerthug's topic in DIY - Do It Yourself, tutorials and videos
Ok so I used some spray on foam on a 12" x 12" piece of aluminum and let it dry. BTW Culvercreek the aluminum peeled off easily once it dried. Anyway, I tried every which way from here till Tuesday but could not figure out a way to muffle the sound with the foam. Then I realized its actually coming from the tires/wheels as they turn and not the motor. Back to the drawing board or maybe I'll just move it enough to bring the Tom's into range and then stop moving it. I figure 25-35yards away from the decoy would be good enough to take a shot with my shotgun. -
Well today I decided to strip down my bow. I removed the Rangefinder, the NAP Apache drop away rest and replaced it with my whisker biscuit which I previously had on. Also removed my square up for now. I removed some serving where my string decelerator was contacting the string and noticed that the string is fraying. I was thinking of just reserving it but decided when I bring my bow into Ralph on Tuesday I'm going to have him replace the string as well. Once its tuned and sighted in properly I can attach my square up and rangefinder again and I'll be good to go.

Just read an interesting article in the NRA-ILA about how the govt rates each states gun control laws. Quote from the article: "The Brady Campaign’s scores aren’t based on whether anyone gets murdered, raped, robbed, or beaten in any particular state; the group is just happy if the state has its favorite gun control laws on the books." How can California with one of the highest crime rates have a better score than Idaho or Iowa with the lowest crime rates? http://www.nraila.org/news-issues/articles/2012/the-annual-big-yawn-brady-campaign-state-gun-control-scorecard-2011.aspx

Tiffany hunts with a guy? Never noticed him. Lol! I think most guys who watch that particular show do so to watch her. At least she's easy on the eyes. Same with Nichol Jones on Driven TV. But seriously, most of these hunting shows are 30 minute commercials for hunting merchandise and equipment. I don't learn anything from them. It's more entertainment than anything else.

At least you didn't use the joke: what do u call a bus load of lawyers falling off a cliff? A good start. Haha!

One day bow and one day 12ga. Haha thats so funny I forgot to laugh!! I would have to sue myself, no?

I was shooting well at 11 yards which is what my first pin is set at and almost hitting Robin Hoods. Idk what happened. I've been meaning to bring it in for tuning for a while now but never had the chance to shoot beyond 11 yards to see what it does. I was grouping the arrows today within couple of inches on paper but outside the center. So could be fletchings contact or nock being off. Better to let him tune it before turkey opens.

I decided to play hooky today and spend the day with my kids. Took them to C & B to shoot some arrows. My son did OK for his second time out shooting. My daughter just sat and watched until Ralph grabbed her to help him put up some targets for the kids getting lessons. I didn't do so well. So I'm standing on the line and I send a few arrows downrange. Now there's a competitive shooter standing behind me on the line who started telling me that my arrows were porpoising as they flew down range. He says its probably because my nocking point is off. He said to adjust my rest up which I did. After shooting a few more rounds I had to adjust my sight. Then I shoot some more and he tells me again that my arrows are still porpoising. After a few more shots and adjusting my site, this caused my sight ring and my Square-up to be out of alignment. I finally give up after 30 minutes of shooting. Ralph sees me packing up my bow and says: So how did you do? I say: "Not so well. My bow needs a tune up". He says he would help me tune it but looks around and says he can't help me right now but suggested I come back Tues between 12-9 pm and that he'll work with me on tuning the bow. He had 3 lessons going on and a full line. So I'm headed back there on Tuesday. Going to remove my rangefinder and have him tune the bow from scratch.

Love the concept! Only problem is I don't have a truck with a hitch to attach it too. I know . . . . I can buy this thing and then use it to justify to my wife that I desperately need a truck otherwise this gadget would go to waste. . . . And my luck would be getting hit over the head with it!!

Well said WNY! Not everyone agrees with his past or his present lifestyle or his unorthodox methods of getting the point across, but listen to what he is saying.
