    So let's see after 2.5 hours in my blind this afternoon I saw couple of Chipmunks running through my blind, a field mouse and this little guy. Also heard a flock of turkeys roost above me and saw a few deer about 500 yds away. All in all it was great just sitting there.     Finally heading up at noon today after 10 days of waiting and being antsy. Hoping for an afternoon-evening sit in my blind and all day tomorrow if I don't connect today.

    Few years ago I shot my biggest buck. I tied the tow rope to my rifle...well... At least I thought I did and as I put my rifle over the rail, I watched the rope unravel and my rifle dropped 20 feet below, hit a tree root below me with a loud thud and I watched the stock fly one way and the barrel another.

    Well I found out today that I can't go up this weekend. Ugh! No one can go up with me so looks like its gonna have to wait until next weekend.

    So this morning I'm driving to Court down Rte 24 in Calverton and what do I see but seven different cars parked at various designated hunting parking spots. Sure made me jealous...two more days and hopefully come Saturday morning I'll be sitting in my blind.
