  3. As a self employed attorney I'm constantly connected to my office, emails, etc. I too only respond in emergencies which are rare since I do personal injury litigation, both plaintiff and defense. So I won't get that Saturday night jailhouse call. I will return calls and emails if it's a new potential client. The best part is making my own hours. I can work from 6:30am to 2:00 pm or so and I'm done or go in at 11 or 12 pm after court and work until 7 or so. As far as others who don't have my luxury of my flexibility, as a boss of others I would not expect them to be always on the clock after hours again unless of emergencies.
  4. Nice! I grew up in Glen Head area and went to North Shore HS 30 years ago. My in laws live there 40+ yrs now. My camp is between rte 9 & 9g off of rte 6. Sent with Tapatalk on my Samsung Galaxy 4

  6. Welcome Poppy! Where in Columbia County do come from? I have a place in Germantown where my crew hunts.
  7. My mother in law takes the heart and slices it open, cleans it and fries it up in olive oil with onions and semi hot peppers. Salt and pepper to taste. Comes out delicious!
  8. Got mine yesterday and its long gone....
  9. You are absolutely right Doc! What may be considered willful or malicious can be interpreted 100 different ways from here to Sunday. But that's why they pay lawyers like me lots of $$$$$ to sway the judge to one side or another. Lol! Off to work now.....
  10. Theses are the key words. If you as landowner know or have reason to believe there are trespassers and you willfully fail to protect against known or should have known dangers then you can be held liable. So for $100 post the property and include warning signs of potential hazards.
  11. If the property is posted properly and a trespasser comes in despite the warnings and gets hurt, the landowner would most likely not be responsible. I say most likely because there are some exceptions i.e. landowner has a pond on his property and knows that kids sneak in and use it regularly but does nothing to stop or deter this from happening, and a kid drowns or gets hurt then the landowner may be held to the standard of what a reasonable landowner would have done in the same situation - post the property, install a fence etc... If not posted, I would spend $100 or so get the signs and tell landowner you will put them up. Make sure they contain the name address and phone of the landowner to be proper and enforceable.
  12. I have a 17 yo girl and 13 yo boy. Both completely different in more ways than one. First off pray for what ever you get is healthy. Second be thankful it is healthy. My daughter at a young age showed an interest in hunting then she discovered something more interesting... Dolling up and boys!! Lol. My son on the other hand - give him an xbox, food and a bathroom and he's happy...well... until he discovers girls... At least I do have a hunting buddy for now...
  13. Just yesterday I went with my wife to Stop and Shop to get stuff for a BBQ today and we left spending nearly $100 and we did not get any meat. $14 lb for skirt steak no frigging way!! On our way to John's Farms this morning for the meat.
  14. I will be hoping for a nice buck to walk by my blind but I will nonetheless put the first doe down - I ain't stupid! My time is already limited and I do need to give my freezer it's yearly fix since it's going through emptiness withdrawal right now! Lol!
  15. Greene it's on demand or Amazon Prime. Not in theaters.
  16. Let me start by saying that my intention here is NOT to start a debate or argument between theists and atheists. It simply is my review of a movie I just finished watching called "God Is Not Dead". I must say I was somewhat skeptical about watching it. But I'm really glad I chose this one over the new Adam Sandler movie Blended. Incidentally I was about to click on the Adam Sandler movie (eventhough I believe Dont Mess With the Zohan was his best), but something made me go back and select this one instead. Not to spoil it for anyone out there who is interested in watching it but it was about an athesist professor at a university who told his class that that they can pass his philosophy class if they wrote three words: "God Is Dead" on a sheet of paper and signed it. All but one student sheepishly did it. This one student professed to him that he was a Christian and could not agree. So he took the professor's challenge to prove God's existence. Well I won't say who won the argument. I'll let you decide for yourselves. But in this day and age with all the violence, turmoil, illness and death going on in our world, not to mention the instant gratification we all expect, materialism and hatred, this movie was very powerful. It put things into perspective and makes you stop and think why certain things happen to some people and not to others.
  17. I have one in town where I live and I've seen prices on everyday items more than double over the last 10 years. Not to mention the items are smaller in size or volume and the prices have gone up. I remember paying $1.50 for a gallon of milk 10 years ago now I'm paying close to $5. It's ridiculous when they try to sell you a so called sale item when in fact they increase the regular price before marking it down to put it on sale. Even shopping at big bulk stores like BJ's you can't get out of there without spending a minimum of $300 again for everyday things.
  18. Glad to see you are still lurking here. Hope you stick around a bit longer. We could use some decent folks like you on this site. Sorry about the knee. Been having issues with my right one and my neck but not to the point of needing surgery, at least not yet. Wish you best of luck this season and with your knee.
  19. No reason other than once I start hitting groups like that I don't want to tinker with my sight. Sent with Tapatalk on my Samsung Galaxy 4

  21. I have my first pin dialed at 13 yds, 2nd pin at 20 and 3rd at 27 yds. That's my comfort zone. Anything beyond 27 yds I won't take the shot. Sent with Tapatalk on my Samsung Galaxy 4
