1. Although I don't have a carry permit, I'm all for it no matter where you are. Sorry for the confusion. You just need to be sure you are carrying properly and as WNY said, keep nothing else in your pocket that can cause an accident like this.
2. Last chance to score on a Tom this weekend . . .

3. Welcome to the forum! You found a great place to learn from experienced hunters. I certainly have . . . Enjoy the ride!
4. This guy was bowling at a bowling alley in Florida while carrying a gun in his pocket and the gun "accidentally" went off. WTH? Is the bowling alley in such a bad part of town? If he goes to the gun range is he going to drop a bowling ball on his foot?? (Credit given to one of the comments) http://fox2now.com/2013/05/15/florida-bowler-shoots-himself/
5. I hope to hear them Sat morning.
6. Pretty simple . . . Cut and cube the venison - brown it in butter or vegetable oil Sautee peppers and onions and put aside In a large crock pot place the browned venison, add green peas and mushrooms cut in pieces Put in enough water to just about cover the meat. Add about 5-6 tablespoons of tomato paste Stir well. Add salt, pepper, chili powder to taste, stir well Let it stew for about 5 hours. Add the peppers and onions about 1/2 - 45mins before serving. Grab a large bowl, big spoon, some crusty bread, homemade wine and enjoy!!
7. Are you serious? . . .it was a joke . . .get over it Lol!
8. Yup! I have about 30lbs left between the two I took last season. Told the wife last night, I need to get three this coming year to make sure we have enough for the year. She looked at me and said, "Yeah right! Get one and then we'll see about the other two."
9. Venison stew! Duh! And you call yourself a hunter . . . . Lol!
10. Well I'm heading up this Friday night for a final Sat/Sun morning hunt with my BIL. Hoping to put one down. Plan on sitting in the same spot my FIL and younger BIL shot theirs last week. I have wall space I need to fill.....
11. Wait until tomorrow after it swims in sauce all day... mmmmm!
12. Bring the wine and crusty bread and you're more than welcome....
13. Forget the neighbors. I try to compete with the landscapers around me in my neighborhood. My lawn looks better than those maintained by the scapers.
14. Doing my lawn is my stress relief therapy second to hunting. I enjoy it. Gives me a sense of accomplishment especially when it comes out looking good.
15. I don't think they are barbed.. Look at the home page where the pictures change every few seconds. The tips of the blades are curved into each other. The dimensions 7/8" minimum is met. I guess best thing would be is to email DEC to get their position on this one.
16. My brother told me about these particular broadheads. Wondering if anyone has used them and if they are legal in NY. The website http://flyingarrowmontana.com/#!/splash-page shows a video of a jug test that shows the a comparison between the 3 most popular BH. The Toxic broadhead drained the jug in 30 secs and again in 8 secs with the top off the jug. Any thoughts?
17. Great story! Congrats to the pupil and teacher.
18. Nice. Turn your camera around. Lol!

19. Thanks Geno. I did it myself except for aerating. My BIL who is a landscaper had his guys do it for me. I use gypsum pellets to break up the clay, lime a week later and then I seed using Pennington seed. A bit more expensive but worth the result. I use Scotts fertilizer too. I wish I took a picture of it before I cut it yesterday. It was tall, thick and plush like a shag carpet. I enjoy maintaining it during the season. Just have to cut it using the highest setting on my mower. Otherwise the crabgrass comes out like gangbusters.
20. Here's my little piece of lawn on earth. This is the front lawn. Still working on the back. Too much clay on LI to grow anything.
21. since the Justice Department released a study Tuesday that showed firearm-related homicides in the U.S. annually declined 39 percent from 18,253 in 1993 to 11,101 in 2011. Hmmmm....... Great article about this in the Washington TImes . . . http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/may/9/miller-bloomberg-obama-and-liberal-media-muzzled-a/
22. Great show. Wasn't crazy about the woman turning Blossom into a domesticated pet.
