  2. Had 2 doe just out of my range for 20 mins feeding. They presented so many shots. I really need to practice at longer distances. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Sitting in my stand along edge of soy field. No wind. Very quiet but for a dog barking few hundred yards behind me. Lets see some movement now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Thanks! I'm been going through venison withdrawal - being that I didn't fill my freezer last year.
  5. It better be today, tomorrow and Sunday morning - heading up this morning for afternoon sit.
  6. Idk about the beans. Will find out tomorrow. Thanks for the tip.
  7. Heading up Friday for prob my last bow hunt of the season. In my area where I hunt the bucks have started chasing. I have a choice of two stands, one along edge of a soy field and the other in thick woods along a logging road. Wondering where to sit in the early morning and where to sit in the afternoon. Any suggestions?
  8. Actually it should be "sangwichie" as my Italian mother in law says! LOL!
  9. Same here. Cup of coffee, some crumb cake - that's it. Anything more than that so early in the morning I'll be sitting in my stand squeezing my cheeks to keep the turtle's head from popping out . I'll take a banana or sangwich with me on the stand if I do all day sit.
  10. A simple phone call to the sheriff's office describing the vehicle to them may answer your questions. Could be legit or it could be some wannabe who drives a black car who bought a top light on the internet pretending to be a cop. BTW did you get a look at the driver? Was he/she wearing a uniform? Or were the windows tinted?
  11. Yup. Buy it from LLBean then. Definitely worth the piece of mind.
  12. This past weekend I was cleaning my Remington 710 and I got tired of staring at the plain grey stock. So being in the camouflaging mood (camo'ed my two camcorders) I decided to do a search on Youtube for videos on how to camouflage a rifle. After about 10 minutes I found this video which shows step by step instructions on camouflaging a rifle stock. So after watching this video I decided to give it a shot. This is the before picture of my 710: And here are some after pictures . . . I am quite please . . .
  13. Heading up on Friday for another weekend sit. Going to make some scrapes near my trail cams. I will be using the Code Blue Gravedigger time release stuff. Hope it gets hit in the next few weeks before gun season in the SZ.
  14. Bushnell Trophy Cam - $150 + tax on Amazon, Plus Lithium Ion AAA - have lasted me over one year.
  15. I would think a combination of both especially if the attorney is a hunter.
  16. Watching News12 - hit and run accident on Cross Island - one suspect dead, one escaped led to pursuit into Bellerose Terrace now cops are surrounding home in Cambria Heights. http://www.news12.com/articleDetail.jsp?articleId=337701&position=1&news_type=news
  17. The article said that the attorney was handling it pro-bono. Some of us actually do that when we believe in a cause.
  18. Smith point Archery in Patchogue is a good place. My brother got a good deal on a whole setup. http://smithpointarchery.com/
  19. I decided to camo paint my small Toshiba S20 Camcorder which I use while hunting. This is the before picture - glossy black with bright silver finish. Once the sun reflects off of it, I can kiss any chance of filming a deer up close good bye. And after taping up the important parts of the camera - lens, movable buttons etc... Voila!! Some blue painters tape, camo paint and leaves (which I had lying around) came in handy.
  20. Actually this got better reviews http://www.amazon.com/MotoSolutions-FogTech-Anti-Fog-Paintball-Glasses/dp/B001JR4CIO/ref=cm_cr_dp_asin_lnk I too wear glasses and they always fog up especially when wearing a full facemask. I wear masks with holes in the mouth and nose to let the heat escape. Really sux. I may try this or switch to contacts with progressive lenses.
