  1. So are you wearing shorts and a T-Shirt ? Crazy weather isn't it? Hopefully tomorrow and Sunday will be cooler. Heading up early tomorrow for Sat pm sit and all day Sunday.
  2. Glad you're ok. Could have been a lot worse.
  3. Never on way in when dark. My luck I'll trip on a root and fall on my ass on the broadhead. On way out during legal hours yes.
  4. Heading back up early Sat morning with my son. Hoping to get some tree time Sat pm and put one down Sat pm or Sun am and then take my son in my ground blind to do some turkey hunting in the afternoon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  7. Wow. Interesting article. Thanks for sharing. It may very well have changed my way of thinking.
  8. Update: I had the pleasure of meeting the new owner (from N.H.P.) of the adjacent property and his cousin (from CT) on Sunday afternoon. They were actually very nice and respectful. He has not hunted in over 10 years but his cousin is an avid longbow hunter for 30 yrs. The new owner plans on building a house to live there year round. When I asked him whether we should pull our stands he actually asked if we coud leave them up and if he could have permssion to use them. I was caught by surprise but of course i agreed. He also granted us permssion to hunt the land. We exchanged our contact info had a beer and chatted about hunting adventures. Looks like we are getting some nice neighbors who can watch over our property when we are not around. I admit I "jumped the string" in my earlier posts.
  9. Yup. We actually got the BC on camera over the last couple of months. My bro saw it lurking in the woods near the ground blind setup which explains why we didnt see any movement in that corner yesterday or today. - Jordan Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  11. Had the opportunity to take two doe yesterday afternoon but both had twin fawns. Let them both pass. Enjoyed watching them. Kept telling them to go get their daddy! LOL
  12. Back home on LI. Sat out this morning from 6:30 till 10 and saw nothing! Not even a chipmunk. Although I did make friends with a little field mouse who joined me in my ground blind who I named "Sheldon". Hoping to head back up next weekend with my son. - Jordan Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  19. Well opening day has come and gone. I had a 14 yd shot at a spike this morning which i passed on. This afternoon i had 2 4 pts and 4 doe with fawns come within range but no shots presented. Got it all on video too. Had a 23 yd shot at a nice sized doe but there was a friggin branch right in my view when i stood up. I was pissed at myself for not clearing that branch yesterday. My bro saw nothing except for a bobcat in the woods. I saw lots of action and even some chasing believe it or not. One more chance tomorrow morning.
  20. Wahoo! Bow opener is here!!
