    The biggest bear was 829 lbs. It looked like a volkswagon. I saw deer everyday, i shot 1 buck and 4 does in NJ. I got home Sunday night and havent seen a deer yet. Dang. I might go back and take the muzzleloader this time.

    Biggest bear so far is 776 lbs that ive seen. Awesome bear.

    20 gauge. Theres no kick at all. I have the Savage also and its an awesome weapon. Its nice and light . I shoot lightfields out of it now but i want to try the winchester bri's. The trigger is awesome.

    From what ive seen in my area i will never shoot a doe. There arent alot of deer around the area. I hear alot of coyotes at night. They need to be exterminated.

    I shoot lightfield slugs. 3 inch 20 gauge. They work great ,usually the deer drops right there or they drop within sight.

    Sat in the rain today and saw 25 does and 3 small bucks. I havent seen any bears yet. The biggest one ive heard of so far is 663 lbs. They shot 200 the first day. You can deer hunt with any weapon till the end of January . There is alot of state land around.

    I went down to my friends farm for the 6 day gun season . Hes got 150 acres and a few smaller patches in the area. 1st morning(today) i shot an 8 pointer ,saw 3 other smaller bucks and 15 doe. Lots of shooting going on,but you can shoot does if ya have a doe tag. Unlimited does- shoot 2. Check them in at a check station and go back out . Hes got some pics of bears in the area. Biggest one looks like 450 lbs. The bear tag was $2.00. I hope to see one this week. Good luck everyone.

    Coldbrook was 200 acres . Treestand hunting ,no dogs. A bunch of us went with our bows in February. We went for 2 days . Most of us shot hogs in the 250- 300 lb range. 2 of the guys shot a hog and a ram. Another guy shot a fallow deer and a turkey. The meat was really good. I would do it again.

    Ive been to Coldbrook hunts in Homer Ny and i saw an ad for Big boar lodge in Ny . I had a great time and the people were nice.

    Ive never used that kind but it has mixed reviews. The price isnt bad.

    I use Lightfields out of mine and it touches bullets at 100 yds. I saw BRI started to make slugs again and i want to try them cause they always shot great. I put the new Redfield on it and so far i like the scope. Its nice and clear. Good luck.

    Ive got 2 trail cams out and all my pics are at night. Went out Saturday and didnt even see a tail.

    I use the rage 2 blade and shot several deer with them. Most of them were pass thrus and have watched every deer drop in sight.
