I am willing to bet that a lot of people have forgotten this rule . Most of North Western NY will be doe only during the ML / Late Bow Season . Page 27 of the regs booklet .

You should be getting your own meat but that doesn't always at the processors . A lot of the burger is done in bulk and gets separated later . I sure don't want to get venison that came from a buck that some proud hunter had in his truck bed for 5 days . I'll take my chances cutting up and packaging my own deer .

My son had some Hot Dogs made last year at Tony's . It ran him $125 for a bag the size of a Wegman's bag . Guy's were going out of the place with 3 and 4 bags . They must have cost $400 - $500 .

Mucho rain forecasted for the Marion / Palmyra area tomorrow so I bailed out . My son can sit in his blind out back on his property or if the rain lets up he cam make a short drive to the Mendon spot or the Pittsford location .

If only I could count on that buck being consistent and showing up on a daily basis . My morning hunts have been about 800 yards north of there near the thick area before the woods . They seem to like this pasture lot . That's where I shot the doe opening afternoon of gun season . Usually I am in the wrong place at the right time ........ My SIL has been keeping her horses out of that gully lot but still has it mowed . Ther were about 20 pictures of that doe bedded down out front of the camera . She looked at it several times and knew it was there .

Chew a couple and it might also tell you how long ago those beauties were dropped .

When the dog lays down or moves around can it change the channels ?

.......and he has been out during daylight hours . Time on pics is off by 1 hour . also had several pics of a doe bedded down in front of camera at night . She knew that there was a camera there .

My youngest son and I plan to hunt on a property on Cambier Road in the Marion - Newark area . Hopefully we will have some luck there .

Sat out from dark to 10:30 and saw nothing . Moved to a different location in the afternoon and sat from 1:30 to 4:40 and saw nothing . I heard an amazing 3 shots all morning . All single shots in different directions . Heard 5 shots around 4:35 in the afternoon from one direction . What an exciting day !

I will once again be heading for Geneseo around 5 am . Looks to be quite cold ......almost 30 but feel like temp is around 22 . Better walk slow so I don't work up a sweat . Have a 1/2 mile walk to the stand . Not much activity there so maybe the deer will be relaxed .
