I doubt many women appreciate an appliance for a gift but my wife asked for one . She wanted a "Bobsweep" . It's a robotic sweeper that goes around vacuuming by itself . It is a self learning device that when the battery gets low , it goes back to it's docking station and recharges itself . Kinda neat and it gets up a lot of cat hair . Too bad that they don't make a larger one that would work in the lawn and sweep up the leaves . I just hope that the damned thing never learns to climb the stairs and open the bedroom door . My wife loves it . Happy wife , happy life ! http://www.amazon.com/bObsweep-PetHair-Robotic-Vacuum-Cleaner/dp/B00XBRYFVY

I have a Generator that I can run and hook things up to only if I am at home . I used it today and 3 other times this year . If no one is home to run it , I am up the creek . I looked into various back-up sump pumps and they aren't very reliable . I can afford a stand-by generator .

We had a power outage today and after waiting an hour and checking the sump pump decided I had better hook up the gas generator . Ran it for a half hour and the power came back on . We always have water in the sump hole and if the power goes out for too long and no one is home , we have a flood . I am seriously thinking of getting a Whole House Standby Generator so if the power goes out I can be rest assured that the basement and freezers are safe . Does anyone have one ? I am considering a Generac Model . They range quite a bit in price depending on the need / requirements of the home owner . I have seen prices from $2000 to $5000+ and then there is probably a substantial installation cost . Afraid to go on any lengthy trip as we have had at least 4 power outages this year .

I believe the OP wants a 2 man stand that has the foot platform go all the way back to the tree . Most likely for better stability .

Windy here. Power just went out . Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk -
I truly believe this . Back when you had to have a party of 4 to get one doe tag , my wife and mother in law took the safety course and got their license . Then we were able to apply for the "Party Permit" . Prior to that , I had does come within 5 yards of me when I was hunting from the ground and smoked . Once my father in law and I had the Party Permit and I had the band on my arm , the doe disappeared . Made me wonder if the does could smell something on the Arm Band !

Here we go again with the small caliber bow cartridges . Next is the head shots and exact placement ending in I have killed several deer with a 223 or my buddy did . Why not use a caliber that is going to knock the snot out of a deer !

Here is the non-camo storage shed that my sister bought from Tractor Supply . It is 8'X8'X7' . Plenty of room .

It's not just the woods that are being trashed . Volunteers pick up trash thrown out of vehicles along the highways . You see the Orange trash bags filled up ready for pickup . In a few days the highway is trashed again . What the hell is wrong with people . Nothing but SLOBS !

I bought one of those yesterday at the Ontario Tractor Supply for my ATV . Got the last one that they had on the clearance . I bought a larger one at Harbor Freight a couple years ago . I thought I had it anchored pretty good but was wrong . The wind lifted and flipped it over . The tarp was ripped and the frame bent . Wasted almost $200 . I will use some of those auger anchors as well as purchase some cement blocks to hold the new one down .

The cheap way is not always the best way !

I looked on the DICKs site and don't see any that have the platform go all the way back to the tree . Same for Field and Stream .

My youngest son drove past Tinker Nature Park on Calkins Road in Henrietta around 4 pm yesterday . He said he saw a dozen deer feeding in the open near the road . When he got home in Honeoye Falls , the back light was on and 5 deer were feeding by the garden . They know when they are safe !
-
Check out the stands at DICKs . They have some set up in the store so you can see for yourself how they are . Then wait for their End of Season Sale . Use the $20 off $100 dollar purchase , if you have one . Or , at least take a look at them and see if Sportsman's Guide has the same one at a better price for free shipping .

In that case , I would have to remove the clips and put a couple of Bowhunting Magazines in their place .

Congrats on the buck . Excellent story . -
A good friend in the super-blue state of California asked what he might need in order to defend his home and family from home invasion, and the like. I suggested a 9mm, a couple of clips, and a box of shells. A few days later he sent me this picture and asked me how to make it all work.

I passed on going out . It rained for a long time this am and I had a splitting headache . My friend told me it was sprinkling at his place this afternoon and the last time I went out hunting like that I got soaked . No sense in being sick for the holidays ! There is always next October !

Congrats on the 2 for 2 bow kills with the recurve . I never got to shoot at any deer with my new Moog Strung String .
