You must do a heck of a lot of walking / stalking to get your deer !

I certainly don't agree with what he did but ... if he had killed a person , he would have gotten lees time to serve !

I picked up 5 permits yesterday . 3 for my son and 2 for me . When they are filled , we can get more . On page 1 under special conditions , it states ANTERLESS deer only .Permit valid only in crop fields when damage is occuring and is void when crop is final-harvested .

I told my sons that if I don't show up back at camp , come looking for me with my "blaze orange" walker !

Saw a 7 cu ft General electric freezer at Home depot for $219 . I looked up the reviews on the computer and most were Excellent 4+ and 5's . Anyway , they had an ad in the paper today and the store has them for $179 so I bought one and i'm having it delivered Wednesday at no charge . I also bought the 4 year extended warranty for $99 that starts after the original warranty runs out . I also picked up a couple of Crop damage Permits this afternoon .

About 5 years ago I saw a farmer being interviewed on TV . He was complaining about the overabundance of deer and the monetary loss to the farm . He said they had been losing $10000 - $15000 a year in crops . I talked to him and got a couple of permits . Got my son involved and we got more . The deer hit the fields from Mendon Ponds Park and Powder Mill Park . Initially , I had mixed feelings about shooting deer this way . The farmer told me that if I didn't want to , he could get someone else . Now we are allowed to hunt some of these fields during Bow & Gun seasons . When you shoot them in this warm weather , you have to process them real fast so the meat doesn't spoil . I have bought bags of ice sometimes to place in the body cavity to help cool the meat .

The proposed Youth Hunt might be beneficial to me . None would be hunting on the private properties that I hunt . If they are on adjacent property , they might spook the deer my way . As for the ML proposal , I guess I would put down the bow and go for the extra distance with the ML . Oh , selfish me ........... :

Wouldn't that be the same if I spent my money on other things , didn't have a home , asked you to use your house and if you said NO , you would be "selfish" . Samo , samo !

No doubt this would cause an uprising by landowners if the Government did something as STUPID as this . Landowners are liable if someone gets hurt on their property . And land owneres are going to be forced to let hunters that they don't want on their property ? That's just plain NUTS !

Getting old isn't great but .......... it beats the alternative !

I have removed the deck from my mower a few times . I can remove , clean and re-install in about one hour . It works for me .

I knew that but I had to be a wise guy ! I bought some string loop material from Dick's but it was limp . Bought some at Gander MT and it was a thicker cord and works great .

It's been real good so far . We had dinner at one of my daughter's last evening and are going to my son's for dinner in Honeoye Falls this afternoon . My wife bought me a Laptop Computer for Father's Day . I'll have to set it up sometime soon .

I will be 70 in September so I am going to wait unlil after my birthday to purchase my license . I already have the Lifetime Sportsman license that cost me a whopping $50 . After my birthday , the Archery and ML is FREE ..........

Why couldn't they simply hand out surveys when you buy your license ?
