  1. Once the Crossbow guys get their foot in the door it will no doubt open the door to regular archery season . Wait and see .
  2. The guy said he poked Bigfoot with a stick . Lucky for him that Bigfoot didn't shoot the guy with his Crossbow ! : .. .. :-X

    How come?

Ka-booooooom ! And then a big cloud of smoke . They are enjoyable to shoot !
  4. Thanks . I already had that info . It doesn't list cost of membership , duties of members or range distances , etc .... Sooooo , anyone on this site a member ?
  5. I could do a review on it but no one pays any attention to them anyway ........ : ... : ... :
  6. I have one of the Terrorist Hunting Decals . I almost put it on my vehicle but thought , someone had keyed my truck because they didn't like a decal . If I put the Terrorist License on my vehicle would I be met with a car bomb ? ??? .. ??? .. ???
  7. Check the LINK I posted above . It shows a tower that is shared by 3 or 4 different Cell Phone Companies ..........
  8. Doc ----- Different cell phone providers can share the same tower ........... http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/cell-phone10.htm
  9. Actually , I prefer the orange carriers . I have arthritis in my fingers and the carriers make it easier to handle the primers . If there is an orange tad sticking out , you can be pretty well assured that the rifle is ready to fire . It works for me .

    How come?

I went to a muzzle loader (in-line) for more distance plus it's fun to shoot . I use my shotgun opening day of gun season and then the muzzle loader from then on .
  11. Well Bubba , i'm not inviting you to any more parties ! .. .. Maytom is here also . Not sure if WNYhunter made it or not . I kept checking the old site and don't know who owns it anymore . I can still do the Mod functions on there though .
  12. I saw that on the D&DH site ...... Amazing . I guess that deer just got tired of the birds flying around it's head ! ???
  13. I left a message on the board and sent an e-mail to those that I could find address' for ........ Still havn't heard from Chuck aka Huntingfreak ! Things will settle down here once the bitching about Crossbows dies down . :
  14. I can see the advantage of being real high in the tree ( no , not high by drinking or drugs ) but it also changes your shot angle . My youngest son has a treestand on the side of a hill that is over 20' up . The trail below is probably at least 10' lower than the base of his tree so he is shooting in excess of 30 feet than the trail. When you have that much of an angle , you have to visualize where you want the arrow to exit on the opposite side of the deer before you shoot .
  15. Like I said earlier , most of my stands are at least 15' high . I was tempted to try a climber but my son advised against it . I'll be 69 in September and had one knee replaced ..........
  16. Where are you in Wayne County ? I am from Ontario . We also have a Williamson and Walworth member so we have the Northwest part of Wayne Co covered ........ ;D
  17. Hey Wooly , did you oversleep . Glad to see you made it over here ! .. ..
  18. I asked about the Mendon range as my son moved down that way and was going to look into possibly joining the club .........
  19. Does anyone belong to the Gun Club on Boughton Hill Road in Mendon ? How are the rifle / pistol ranges ? What distance can you shoot at and are there shooting benches ?
  20. What do you have to loose for a penny? What you have to lose is about $4 or more in shipping fees ............that's what ! ???

  22. I was lucky . I saw an ad in the Swap Sheet ( no longer exists ) a few years ago for some reloading equipment for $125 . I called the guy and his girlfriend inherited the stuff from her deceased uncle . I ended up buying it for $75 . It consisted of a Lyman Turret press , powder dispenser , Ohaus 10 - 10 balance scale , 38 / 357 dies , 45 acp dies , box of 38 cal lead bullets , bullet sizer , bullet casting die , and a few other goodies . I think I did okay for $75 . Since then I have purchased a Lee single stage die , a tumbler , primer pocket cleaners , various dies , funnels ,calipers , etc ..
  23. I havn't put out any trail cams yet this year . The skeeters have been pretty nasty !
