I have no problem with the bench I have now, I got the plans from Outdoor Life's shooting editor Jim Carmichael, they were in one of the books he authored. Now if I were to replace it I think I would get one of the benches I see advertised on craigslist from time to time during the summer. They look to be well made and are priced within reason. Al

About the only thing I am going to change is putting up some side panels, probably just a tarp to keep autoloading handgun brass inside where the empties can easily be found instead of flying out on the ground making them hard to find in the grass. Al

Well it was nothing fancy or too expensive, consisted of corrugated plastic, but it kept the sun and rain off while shooting and has held up for quite a few years. I have some steel laying around so sometime this Spring I will get at it and put on a new roof. Al

If money was no object I think a track loader with a high flow snowblower would be the ultimate snow removal machine. Al

Living in snow country with a long driveway and snow removal around the house and barnyard has forced me to look at every angle for removing it. Shovels, regular walk behind snow blowers, trucks with power angle plows, I have settled on a mid size tractor that can utilize quick attach implements for the loader and a three point blower for the rear. I have a power angle plow mounted on the loader most of the winter, along with the blower it has been the best all around solution for me. Al

TYM has been coming on strong and have become a major player in the tractor world., I have owned several Tractors and this TYM has been the best of the lot, she has done a lot of hard work for me. Al

This winter has easily produced the most snow in the 40 years I have lived in my current location, I would say it rivals and may surpass the blizzard of 1966, ungodly snow falls. Al

At it again today, been getting at least a foot every day for several days in a row, The TYM Tractor is sure earning her keep this winter. Al

You got out of Dodge just in time. I can take cold weather but this constant snow makes for a lot of extra work, it also screwed up my mid winter small game hunting, I am too whipped form clearing snow to even think about hunting. Al

And here we go again! Can you former members just not let it go any leave us alone? Not one thing has changed for me when it comes to this board, I will use it the way I have since I joined. I am here to gain information about the outdoors and share anything that I think that may help others. If I make a post and just one person gains something from that post it was worth my time to post it and worth their time to read it, it is that simple. Not a whole lot of difference in recoil from my perspective, the 270 lends itself to bigger game hunting. Al

I think this rifle is for someone who lives where owning a semi auto rifle is a problem with the law, this rifle with some practice will throw a lot of lead if that is what you are looking for. It actually has some pretty nice lines. Al

The accuracy is typical for factory ammo and out of the box rifles of that type, I would bet groups could be improved with handloads. I do not think it would ever be what I would call a tack driver. Al

To be honest I do not bow hunt much these days, I prefer to hunt small game at that time of the season. I purchased an Excalibur crossbow a couple of years ago to play around with and while I can easily outshoot any of my traditional bows both accuracy and distance wise, I just can not get enthused enough to hunt with it. If I do hunt with a bow it will be with a traditional bow. Al

Much of my bowhunting was done from crude but effective blinds I built on the ground to break up my outline, I also did quite a bit of still hunting with not a whole lot of kills but prefer that method of hunting. Al
