This will be a great Super bowl snack. I found this recipe the other day and changed it up a little by using ground venison instead of beef, I used jar Jalapenos as that was what i had in the fridge. I think using fresh peppers would be better? You can use corn tortillas or flour, I tried them both and the corn ones get crispy and have a nice crunch, but are difficult to roll up as they tend to break if you don't heat them properly. The flour tortillas firm up but are easier to bite into. I personally like the flour batch better. I make a copy of what I plan to put on the wood and make a mirror image (my wife does that part) then I just use my wood burner with a big flat tip and heat transfer the image unto the wood. The laser printer ink is heat sensitive and when you heat it with the tool it transfers the ink unto the wood. you can then follow it and wood burn the image into the wood or in this case my wife painted it.

I didn't feel like starting a new thread, so I'll just post it here. I have the NWTF banqthis Saturday so I cleaned up a couole of pcs of black walnut I had drying in my shop. " Man Cave " bottle openers. My wife did the painting. Time to move on to my next project, going to make a couple of "Drinko" boards. I'll post pics later.

I'm only 10 minutes away from the store, they have probably 100 different seasonings in stock. Everything from b-fast, Italian, German, Polish, etc. If you can name it I'm sure they have it.

Thanks for the advice, I have a Macoun apple tree in my front yard and i have been trying to prune it for several years. One year i pruned it too late in the spring and had no apples that year, other years i think i cut it back too much and had poor crop. The problem i have is it gets a lot of suckers and grows too tall every year, so i find myself cutting way back to try to keep it from getting so big.

Eddie you must carry one huge backpack to carry a 3'x 12' piece of wood. LOL Seriously that's similar to using my boot puller to step on. I would consider adding a couple of small blocks on the bottom of the board to act as a stop to prevent the stirrup from slipping off.

I got news for you Moog, if your ears have been ringing for weeks you definitely did damage.

One of my concerns with any electronic amplification would be the increase of the sounds of all the tweety birds and such! I'm afraid that ear muffs will just amplify everything and not really help me hear turkeys in the distance? Plus with my bad hearing being mostly in 1 ear will these things help with directional hearing?
