So should this be set back in the hard woods maybe around 50 yards? If so any recommendations on what to plant? Also do I need to till the dirt or are the no till toss and grow packs good enough?

The property we hunt is mostly corn fields and soy beans crops with I would say about 20-30% of the property containing hard woods. One side is also bordered by an apple orchard. Does it make sense to start a food plot for when the farmers harvest their crops? There is so much left out in the fields that I'm not sure if they would prefer a clover, radish etc patch to that. If so any suggestions on what to plant and where to locate it?

Went up to delware county 2 weeks ago and didn't see any rubs. Was up in colombia this past weekend and only saw one rub with a little blood at the top. Really no rub activity so far in the places I have been. Threw the cameras out and will see whats roaming around the first weekend of bow. Hopefully I'll capture some shooters.

I used bore butter in the beginning but found no matter how much I cleaned it gunk still developed. Bought this CVA cleaning kit with bore blaster a soaking canister a tub of presoaked cleaning patches and anti rust patches.....The inside of my barrel shines great now. From my own experience I would tell people to stay far awar from bore butter. Very happy with this CVA kit.

I live down in the city so I only get the chance to hunt the weekends. Because of my limited opportunities I hunt the morning and the afternoon and enjoy both in different ways. The mornings are great for watching the woods come alive and the evenings are great watching sun go down over the mountains. The night is great for the walk back to camp and the days stories over a few beers. I have had most of my success though during the afternoon hunts not sure why. As long as its not raining any hunt is a good hunt in my book no matter if its bow, gun or muzzle. I love it all.

Haven't gone up to the property yet, but headed up this weekend to check stands and clear lanes. We've been hunting there for about 10 yrs now so not much changes pattern wise. I do want to slap up some cameras though as I did see a monster during muzzle season and I want to know if he's still lurking around. Treated myself this year for my 30th Bday and bought a Matthews bow which I have shot and am impressed with so far. Can't wait to christen it. Still need to sight in old faithful (30-06) as I believe I knocked off the scope last year after a nasty fall. This heat this week is making me a little nervous for the opener. Don't know how long I can tolerate sitting with a sea of nats around my face. Would prefer it to cool off in time for my favortie time of year. Can't wait to get out there.

No where in particular but was up there this weekend and liked the area... I know the hunting in Colombia has always been great since I've been hunting there and wanted to know how Delaware compared to it

I have been hunting in Colombia county for years and am thinking about maybe buying some land of my own in Delaware county. Can anyone give their thoughts on how they compare or anyone who hunts Delaware county give some feedback? The town in Delaware I was looking at was Denver but am open to suggestions. Thank you.

Has anyone out there used a go pro camera to film their hunts? If so how does it come out and have you used a mount to attach it to your gun/bow?

Culver I made sausage last year for the first time and they were awesome. This year I would like to make a go at it and smoke some snack stix. I'm also open to any other good recipes in the smoker as I just bought it and am new to the smoking world.

Hey all, Just bought a master built propane smoker in preparation for the hunting season as I want to give it a go smoking some venison this year. Anyone have any good recipes or good links to find smoking recipes on. I would like to start experimenting now so I don't waste my prized venison.

Just read meat eater and American buffalo by Steven Rinella and really liked them. Does anyone have any suggestions for similar books?

Hello All, I have a TC black powder rifle and it seems everytime I use it no matter how much I clean it i always seem to get fowling build up in the barrel and breach plug. In the video they run a few patches and its clean 1.2.3 (I know this is not the case in reality as they want to promote the ease of cleaning their product). I run around 20 patches through the barrel and srub the breach plug and still get this build up. Does anyone have any tips or ideas? Thanks in advance.

Care to share the recipe and how you make them?

I use Grim Reaper mechanicals....they fly just like my field points since I use the same grain. 3 blades with a huge cutting area. I highly recommend them in my opinion.

Any possibility of sharing the recipe?!?!?!

I have an electric grinder that I use to make sausage, and I have been thinking about buying a seperate stuffing unit. I was wondering if it is easier to stuff sausages with one person using this machine and if it would help in the process. Feedback is much appreciated.

I am 28 years old and work on "Wall St". I wake up every day at 5:45 and work my A** of until I get home at 8:30pm at night leaving little time to enjoy this thing they call life. I earn a pay check which I give almost 40% to the government which includes social security and a health care benefit that I will most likely not see. Everyone is entitled to there opinion and free speech which makes this country great, but seeing these people get free food and free flu shots stoned out of there faces and yelling at the 1%(me...who isn't even a one percenter but work my ass of to hope and dream one day I can be fortunate enough to retire in time to actually enjoy my life) really pisses me off. Wall street employees only make up 14% of the 1% percent they are talking about so build camp near the majority of that 1%. Nothing is ever perfect and yes there are a lot of imperfections in our capitalistic society, but I would rather have those imperfections than be living as a socialist. Bloomberg should have gotten rid of these people a long time ago. It really makes you wonder sometimes why you work so hard when it looks like the majority of the county is moving in the direction of this crap......Let me keep my guns, ammo, and Money....you keep this "change" that people are trying to sell!!!!
