restricted in a very few areas. most of the NZ that does not allow antlerless permits, allow for taking antlerless with the bow and ML. I go up and do it every October during the NZ ML opener. It's our quick hit camp meat for the coming deer season.

That is one reason why I am a huge proponent of all antlerless take being through the permit system. No more antlerless bow or ML. Get your antlered tag and then apply where you want to get an antlerless. If you draw an antlerless tag for the area you decide what weapon and season you want to fill it in. gun hunters, bow hunter and ML should have the same draw opportunity. Even in the DAKS

Lots of pictures on the web of them. Look under "wood screw drills" instead of countersink. -

If you save and blow up the picture you can see what the manufacturer did. It is dimpled from setting the "tube" back from the original bend to get it centered. -
But if I just went shopping for beef at the store I would end up doing it with the wife!!! Lol.

I can't see it workign well for recovery. Terrain, obstacles and just distance. Since I gave up on the fold back mechanicals in about 2003 I have only had two deer that didn't get a pass through and both of those snapped off the arrow in the first 10-20 yards. I'll have to see some field reviews on these

Come on. It's very easy to do. You just need to order the rifle with the 299' barrel...lol

welcome aboard The NYSDEC interactive mapper is a good place to start looking

I get that. on that 7mm it is a .275" bullet. two side by side, touching, would have a center to center of .55" and divided by 2. very nice.

lol. There may be more in some of our safes but shooting factory hunting ammo usually won't help them show up.
-
It's in the archery section so I believe the OP meant with a bow.
-
have you tried it with yours? Sounds easy enough doesn't it. I am betting there aren't many less than 1/2MOA guns in any of the site members safes.

at 250 yards.

I agree with the 3" group scenario. Once that establishes you range you have to evaluate your equipment and make sure there is enough energy. Look at some of these target bows. deadly accurate but at low poundage some wouldn't have the needed penetration. It is a multiple factor question. This is also a target practice scenario. start rotating a deer and adding elevation differences, then less that ideal shooting position, cold, clothes....that 3" can open up and if you open up "pie plate' accuracy you have wounded deer.

That is 0.4 MOA. Your comment is just wrong.

Anyone heard any reports from the Genesee?
