    I built a 9'x8' stand 3 seasons ago, sat in it the day i finished it, with my diesel generator underneath it and just as the sun was going down i saw 6 doe and a six point. the scent thing is just a myth if you ask me.

    Honestly, if ur hunting state lands, u may want to go with a .35 rem, or a 30-30 for deer. they are great brush guns, and the .35 is great for a lil more long distance. Marlin is the best in that breed, i personally think, and the price is typically around 400. but if you want a shotgun, go with a 12 ga mossberg 500.

    I have a spikehorn i see every sit, i named him rodney. A lil prong horn i see alot also i have named samuel.

    Nothing in 6g. Bucks arent coming out till way after dark, except for the occasional spike and fork horn. I call the spike rodney and the fork horn sampson. (see them every sit)

    I hunt 6g. tons of rubs, tons of scrapes, but the more mature bucks dont come out till 11, or midnight. I think its still a lil early too, just want to get everyones info. thank you.

    i believe you should let spikehorns go. The land i hunt we have our own antler restriction set to nothing under 6pts. Amazing the amount of bigger bucks we have, as long as the p.o.s. road hunters dont get them. It is just to increase bigger buck population tho.

    where rifle hunting is allowed, you can use any centerfire, rather its a shotgun or a rifle.

    if the screws are to tight, it will cause stress, making it squeek. take them off and install a few neoprene washers

    i use to have an ithaca 16 ga. it was a nail driver, but i no longer have it, wish i did tho.

    Ive used a tupperware container and a car wash sponge cut to fit, and stick the broadheads in that.

    Anyone killing a bruiser like that you yhink would display it more proudly other than being wrapped in a tarp, and i also agree with the trees. awfully green, even for late september.
