  1. thats an awesome question.... what would happen?
  2. Here is a pic of a local deer who likes to hang out in our back yards and eat our lawns and stuff. this pic was taken a while back. she is 4 years old now. she has her own facebook too. shes a local celebrity. sum locals put an orange collar on her, but dec frowned on it and removed it. you can find her on facebook under bella deer, pulaski ny. thats my step son in the pic with her.
  3. these pics were sent to me via mobile last hunting season. supposedly about 4 miles from my hunting grounds.(ellisburg area)
  4. I really dont see any change or effects on wildlife. I set a few windmills in lowville at maple ridge wind farm, and while erecting the silos, i saw bunches of deer and turkey, so i dont think there was any effect.
  5. They are wonderful people. very kind. I do a little business with them every now and then. Some people frown on me for ir, but they need to make a living too. My complaint is the inadequate lighting on their buggies.
  6. There is a amish family on rte 3 just beyond port ontario, and they are always tooling around, and the lil ones in the road. i just would hate to see an accident there. Busy trucking rte. imagine a 60 mph tractor and horse n buggy collision..... yikes. I really would like to see some more lighting on their vehicles at night.
  7. hate the amish invisible buggies, not the area i live.....lol
  8. Around here, they have the d.o.t. red and white reflective tape, and at night a small oil lamp off the side, you can barely see. I live in the orwell/boylston area. I hate it. Up in lowville area, they have orange flashers, which is great. they should do it everywhere.
  9. very cool pics. You us your tv to view them too huh? lol
  10. Ive never had to do it, and, if there were a time i had to, i couldnt. im just not built that way i guess.
  11. I smoke in the woods, all the time. I dont think it makes a difference.
  12. still chasin here in 6g
  13. hay bales in some heavy cover ive tried, and some block wood in a corner of a woodlot too. but i still love my stands.
  14. headin down to the farm. hope i get the big one. good luck fellas, and happy thanksgiving
  15. deer could be wounded regardless of arrows or bullets. gun scopes coulda been banged around, bad judgement on distance, etc. It happens. Not just because of a bow and arrow.
  16. I never empty my mag. As i understand, if your weapon is for example, in your trunk, and your mag is in the glove box, you are fine. i always have my gun away from the magazine. got stopped once at a checkpoint, and they didnt say anything.
  17. hunt in the a.m., dinner at 1pm, then back into the woods. Have a great thanksgiving!!!!
  18. i am very interested in that 760. unfortunately, i am a lil short of resources right now, so if it is still for sale in a few weeks, ill come get it. darn holidays.
  19. It sucks. It could happen to anybody. When i took my hunter safety, my insttructor told us something, i will never forget. Even if your safety is on, it dont matter. its a mechanical device, and mechanical devices fail. So i always unload coming out. Im a paranoid goofus anyways.
  20. Hope they catch them. some people have big u know whats. Id be livid. Probably dope fiends.
  21. This a.m., a man drowned in blind creek cove, part of sandy pond. He was in a kayak, no life vest, and didnt know how to swim. In ten feet of water. Very strange. I was deer hunting about 3 miles from the site. Very unfortunate, but why? If you cant swim, u should never ever be in a kayak, let alone with no life jacket. There is an article on 9wsyr.com, and newsjunky.com.
