Stupidity... ive heard so many stories. one guy got shot carrying a decoy, another guy was shot draggin a kill, ive almost been shot in southern tier on state land, and i was full blaze. Last season, i was sittin in a stand on a corner of two roads in a corn/hay field, and i had a handful of deer in front of me. on both roads, 2 roadies pulled up and had their rifles pointing in the field. i was looking right smack at the tip of the barrel of one of them, waving my orange flag. scared the hell out of me. idiots everywhere you go, thank god no one shot.

nothing.... saw a small buck, couldnt quite make out if he was a four or six, he was about 300 yds out.

Got my daughter, who just turned 9 yesterday to go, and had to drag my step son out..... we saw a 4 point, maybe a 6, he was far away, now they are wound up tighter than ten day clocks and want to go tomorow. Maybe i broke the laziness, since the step is the one who saw the buck. i didnt shoot it, didnt know exactly what he was, and didnt want to piss off the in-laws.

Must be nice, lol.

what is up with this generation and kids not wanting to do anything but play video games, d.s., or just lazy period? my 3 year old is the only one that wants to hunt or fish these days.

Last i knew it was legal. people up here do it all the time.

Turkey

Ive shot deer and other deer stayed right there, and my father in law shot a ten point, and 4 minutes later an 8pt walked in. i wouldnt worry about that.

20 acres up here, 1000 an acre. old xmas tree farm, bordering an assload of farm lands, and a creek bordering it. My lil bro works for the guy. Any given time theres anything from 5 to 50 deer thru there at a time. Turkey, geese, coyotes, u name it.

Obviously, alot of things come into play, but i prefer winchester super x 180 grain power points, for deer elk and boar.

Passed up 2 spikehorn(kinda have to), a 4 pt, and many doe. If i dont see a 6 or bigger, im knockin down a flat head.

I guess thats why they are called opinions.... they all vary. Everybody has there own opinions, and everybodyis entitled to them. Personally, i dont care what other people do, i just have my own set ways. if i drank while hunting, my ass woulda got kicked, and it was engraved in my head not to do it. its all in everyones very own tradition.
