Yes it did. Got me togo out and buy a new one.

Sounds interesting. I always see deer hanging around Turkey. My Father-in-law swears by it. I might give it a try.

Heard the same stories years ago about Coydogs and Cornell University.

Not really, when I moved back 20 years ago I put my bow in a soft case in the back of the pickup. Well after heading on to the highway the air catches the bow and out it flies. It gets run over by a semi. Roadkill no doubt, it was in a million pieces!!!!!!

Three food plots on my property
First-light replied to First-light's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
Yes they are. Would like to see the Chicory gain a bit on the others. I had a good time putting them in, even had my two daughters helping out. It will be cool when I bring them back to camp in a month to see the expression on their faces when they see what's growing. (I threw some pumpkin seed in with the turnips) -
A close-up picture of my bear pole taken this weekend. He is tearing it up!

That's the area that the roadkill pig was around.

That's what the sucker looked like.

If you get the bags with the powder in it I believe you can throw out the bag in any garbage disposal. I went through the same thing at my camp three years ago, pretty funny craping in the bucket. You will get some funny stories for sure!

I don't. I had interest in a 50 acre parcel in Burdett N.Y. that he kept me up-to-date about but I never leased. He was really nice and straight forward kind of guy. I own my own property now so I haven't talked to him in a while.

So how many of you find this post offensive to our African American fellow hunters?? Don't shoot me, just asking.

Sorry no picts. Was what I expected to see size wise. I would say 100lbs. Dark colored nasty looking. Wild Hogs!

First time I ever saw a dead wild pig on the road. I know their numbers are growing. It was on Rt 17 near that great big swamp I think around exit 110, could be wrong.

Apples were falling in August, trees are loaded with them.

I used to go out with 10 to 15 guys years ago, not anymore. During these drives, "if it's brown it's down" mentality was the way. I know guys who do drives during mid-day and towards the end of the season. For me 2 man drives thats about it. When I was young it was cool to drive now I don't see much "fair chase' in it.

About 4 years ago we had a sow with 4 cubs and 1 was blond. At gun season she only had two left. They hung around my brothers stand for a while and I walked over and saw the three of them entering my corn field. I was way too cool. It's a sight to see when they have three or four cubs, the little ones just play around!

Be careful about pulling the trigger too soon. I was in my stand at bow season and had a big bear come in for 5 minutes right under the stand. I watched for a while and decided I would take him. Just when I was ready to grab the bow out comes a cub. Mama gets a free pass. Also too many cubs get shot during bow season because for this reason. Usually these are the 1.5 year old cubs. You should know what a 75lbs cub looks like and not shoot. Good luck! I will try to post the video I have of the sow and her cub.

That is funny! Love it.

Muzzyloader, "I support a local shop (Arnot Forest Archery)." I bought my bow there last year. Great people, yes they charge a bit more but the service is great. My brother-in-law and sister-in-law shoot in a league there. They live over in Burdett and I have a place in Howard, Steuben county.
