i went today to try and find some sheds but it was like a blizzard down the since i was 100 yards from the lake i was soaked in minutes and as soon as i got home the weather let up lol ill have to go back next week during better weather

theres always hope remember last year the sabres were horrible then the sond half of the season they had one of the best records if not the best for the second half.

when they did the fan appreciation thing wear your old slug jersey and get 41% off a new jersey i got a meyers jersey and boom he end up not showing up to play this season. i agree 100% im also a sabres fan and sabres and bills fans stick with their teams when they are good and in bad slumps go sabres

yea theres definitelty alot of people that walk around down there looking for sheds there were a few sets of people tracks in the brush. im gonna give it my best tomorrow im looking at it as a good form of exercise and enjoying the animals, thanks wooly good luck i cant wait to see some more of your finds.

lol im pumped i cant wait to go back out in the morning. since its the city where hunting isnt allowed there are some really impressive bucks over there. i would love some company i tried to get a couple friends to come but as soon as deer season is over they dont want anything to do with deer. i also thought i found a bear track in a small clump of snow but couldnt be ceratin it sure was a big print. i also found half an arrow i knew i would end up comming across an arrow or empty shells down there. are you familiar with down town buffalo?

wooly ive only really gone to look for sheds once in my life but after reading your posts and seeing your pics i went out today near down town buffalo i didnt find anythingbut i was watching a group of what looked like 17 doe and a nice 8pt buck a few hundred yards away i got to with in 20 yrds of the buck then they all spooked and took off 10 minutes later i caught up to 4 of the deer 3 came to with in 8 feet of me 2 were bucks that had shed their antlers and no blood was on their heads and the third had lost its antlers and was still bleeding on to of his bed. do you think the 8 pointer i had seen couldve lost both of his antlers with in 10 minutes?

my question is this buck that was bleeding what are the chances that he was the same 8pt from 10 minutes before sporting both antlers and now both would be off?

ive never really been into shed hunting but i figured with no snow on the ground and seeing some of the guys on here are having some luck finding shed that i would go out for a couple of hrs today. i live in the city of buffalo and figured i would check a spot close to home after an hr or so of looking i could see a group of dee a few hundred yards away it looked like 17 doe and a really nice 8 pt i snuck around and got to about 40 yrds with in the buck while all the doe were watching me from about 70 yrds away man i wish i wouldve brought the camera with me. well the buck was curious as to what i was doing there so he walked to with in 20 yards of me and they all ran in the direction i parked my truck. as i was heading for my truck i ran back into a small group of deer 3 of the walked up to with in 8-10 feet from me and i could tell 2 had lost their antlers some time ago because their heads had healed pretty good but the 3rds heads had 2 nice round spots from where the antlers were dripping blood.

how much is this 2nd tag lol. it all depends how much longer are we gonna be there? if a few days or so give the partner a couple days to put his tag on a buck maybe try and film his hunt and after a couple days i might buy the extra tag. thats if i was a man with money. honestly the guy i hunt with would want me to get back into the woods asap.

thats exactly how i was thinking about it. then yesterday i went to a couple local police station and got 2 dispositions from when i was younger one was from 12 yrs ago when i was 18 young a being dumb nothing serious then the other was from 6 years ago a bar brawl that i didnt have anything to do with but when the cops come and some one says a red head started it a 6'1 tatted up red head me is pulled by the police but thats over with lol im hoping that doesnt hinder me from getting a concealed. since that altercation ive gone to school and got a criminal justice degree and am pursuing becomming a police office im hoping this all helps weight out the crap when i was young.

thats exactly what i was thinking its a good way to make it look cheaper at first. $20 for the application fee $10 for pics then filing fees and finger printing it will probably end up being similar to your $130. im not sure yet if im gonna file for hunting and concealed when i had it in tomorrow or thursday or if im gonna file for hunting and target first then after i get the permit file for concealed.

they rescently lowered the erie county application fee from $120 down $20 i was very pleased to see this when i got my new application the other day.

its over 700' off of the main road in down a really beat up dirt road the property lost almost all of its value due to some one gutting the entire house they took everything including ripping all the dry wall down and braking the sky light causng water damage and mold im guessing the bank wont be wanting the property atleast thats what im hoping. im gonna call the coubnty clerk back in the morning and ask her what all would be owed after the auction. im more interested in the 3 acres since it was my grams place and its where i firststarted deer hunting plus the bucks that love to hold up on it are really impressive. thanks for all the info guys.

thanks gizmo thats what ive heard from a friend and a couple other people that its been taking about 6 months i cant wait i hope i have it for next hunting season.

i took the pistol permit course a while back and tonite im filling out the form and gonna do my references tomorrow i was wondering if anyone has done their pistol permit in erie county in the past year or 2 and if so how long did it take from the time you handed in the application to the time you got your permit if you got it. thanks guys
