we didn't get a deer but today was a success. we started a stalk as soon as we got to letchworth we spread out and walked 3 wide and had a few deer on their feet right away no opportunity for any shots. while walking back to the van a truck pulls up and said ahh chance you guys lost a buck here this week my buddy said I shit at a nice 8pt with my muzzle loader on Saturday but couldn't find any blood or anything. the guy takes us to the buck it was only a few hundred yards from my buddy's stand a single lung hit there wasn't even any blood where the deer laid. my buddy was happy to recover his deer the meat obviously want any good but it still got a tag wrapped around its antlers.

when I got my bear my taxidermist askedme if his an official measurer could measure it because he said it was close to 21" I agreed and his buddy said it was 20 13/16 he then said he would like to measure it again after the 60 days by the time I got my skull back just over a year later it measured 20 1/16. just an.idea on what you can be looking at for shrinkage . ive heard some shrink 1/4-3/4 of an inch. mine were done with the beatles

I was wondering this same question a few weeks ago when I sighted in my muzzle loader. its hitting 2" high at 100yrds. and was 4" low at 146 yards.

im heading to letchworth in the morning with two friends that I haven't hunted with in a few years were gonna do some stalking and a couple mini drives. im.very pumped. good luck everyone

whos all going out? what kind of hunt will you be doing sitting stalking some deer drives? I try to make sure that I'm in the woods on Turkey day there's usually a lot of people in the woods. last year I over slept and didn't make it out that's not happening this year I usually hunt until 1030ish then head home to help my wife get the kids ready to go to my parents house. im still trying to decide where im going tomorrow either to to a spot that's 30 minutes away from home or the state land near the cabin. ill sit for 2 hrs then probably do some stalking

was wearing a white hoodie. so Monday morning I left camp and drove to a spot closer to home I was in the stand for 15 minutes when a doe came walking threw at 40 yards I took a shot she didn't move so I shot again and she dropped. when I walked up to her she had 2 shots in the lungs.

at 1005 I had two guys walking behind my stand the only orange both of then has on was their back tags and the one guy was wearing cacamo pants with a white hoodie

.im about a 1/2-3/4 of a Mile back into the woods and at 726 I have a guy come threw breaking everything in his way I hit the grunt tube he notices me keeps walking but stops and I think he's setting up about 150 yards directly infront of me

I brought my shot gun and muzzle loader with me I got to camp at 5 am look for my muzzle loader box that has my powder and everything its no where to be found I thought I left it at camp but I guess its at home so I'm sitting with my go to gun mossberg 500

beautiful morning the temps are perfect and finally no wind and I just let out a sneeze that sounded like a dam elephant. the owls are going crazy
