and how much notice do you have to give employer? do you have flexibility to wait until we are closer to see what weather is doing or does it have to be decided this week?

I wear a pair of Rocky Timberwolf 800gm insulated boots, maybe I will look at getting a pair of pac boots with a liner also. But will look for different sock combos first. sitting in 20 degrees in the am will be the coldest times of the season

Kevin, are you a bow or gun hunter ? or both?

I dont mind wearing 2 pair of hunting socks but I still cant find a mix or stand alone pair that keeps feet warm when sitting all day. Any suggestions? I have a few types of medium and heavy weights, all with wool, nylon, polyester blends and I dont want to get the battery operated warmers. just need good socks for warm (but not sweaty) feet!

if the take is really a few thousand more(approximated) across the state, how drastic would the effects be down the line.DEC will now have a new statistic to compare the doe/buck taken oct 1-15 each year .Doesnt seem like much now but we'll see what happens.

looks like 2 doe and 2 either tags come with archery license. ** And no 500 feet minimum rule from a building for bows

I have access to hunt deer on private land in CT. The rules book is a little unclear is some spots. Is anyone familiar with the general regs ? Looks like there is NO hunting on Sundays. And how do their doe permits work? any insight is appreciated

correct, and is some cases in order to claim you need it for business purposes you may have get a sworn affadavit from your employer

thats what Kensico (DEP watershed) is so he already hit that. there are a few spots in northern westchester and are listed on the the DEC site. otherwise you are going to have to go north or head to Orange county. Unfortunately Westchester is not very hunter friendly geography

I know antelope has a taste of its own from their diet. Never had Mulie but have heard its a lot different/not as desireable as whitetail..pretty much true ?

nothing too obvious, though it wasnt far from an area of wilted high grasses. figured there isnt much else it could be from.

Very cool. what a great week out there. just curious, did you make arrangement to have meat sent back and what is approx cost ?

problem is you can never get a person at any large company to actually address my inquiry. goes back to them probably not wanting to take responsibilty of a hunter on their property. we'll have to move on... keep my options open
