    I never go in the woods without a sidearm ever.If you look around the board you well see where I said the wrong thing.I have never been attacked in anyway.But we only live once.I took m son fishing when he was real young when 2 low lifes came through the woods.I kept my knife close till they left and that was the last time I went with no pistol.So I have no problem walking in the dark to my stand.I have to be the first one in the woods.I leave the cabin at 5'45 in the morning just to be the first.

    Doc is right this is never going to get answered.Me I don't care what the next guy uses to hunt. Not my bussiness as long as he is safe.

    Does a cross bow have any advantage over a compound bow.I just do not see what all the fuss is about.But thats just me.We live where a person has a choice.I am going to hunt with a compound bow.A rifle and an in line this year period.

    I noticed a lot of ded deer o rt 17 this year.In April I think we saw about 5 dead every weekend.

    I have a friend who can't bait a fish hook.So when he shot his first deer I tried to get him to gut it but I have to do his deer as well.

    I heard there was a Mountain lion spotted in Rockland county last year. I was told one got hit by a car on the Taconic Parkway.So who knows.

    In Westchester I have had to wait 7 months and other times I got the permit back in 2 weeks.Not much we can do just go with the flow.

    I also love to go sit in my blinds and watch.I spray my self down with scent killer all year what about you guys.

    I heard with any urine human or animal it turns into amonia inside an hour.Not sure if thats true.I use a bottle my self.Just something I have always done.

    I worked with a guy who had 3 behind his house here in Westchester.He had pics and a tape he recorded or filmed.

    How did you do last year.I only saw 4 doe all gun and could'nt get a shot.first time in years we got no deer.

    I had a Simmons Atech on my rifle.A couple of years ago it got very blurry.I sent it back to Simmons and it was repaired free of charge.Used it a couple of years and the same problem so I just bought the Leupold.

    I heard the DEC is working with the RYE PD to try and catch these yotes if not shoot them on sight.As of today not sure what happened.But 2 attacks in less then a week is not good.
