  1. Goes to show age means nothing when it comes to being stubborn and uneducated about your local regulations. What a waste of those 40 years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. You have no idea where I hunt, and who I know in the DEP. It's probably best you stop spreading false information for others that want to learn to hunt the area. Shotguns are allowed in Long Island and Westchester for small game. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. So, you're not confident enough to wager. You also spread a lot of false information. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I think you're wrong. So, wager? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. So now you're changing it? What happened to no firearms? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Want to put a wager? I'm confident, are you? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Show me the regs that state this. I've hunted in Westchester with a firearm and I'm still a free man. If you'd like, we can even put a little wager on this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Probably best if you fully understand the regs before posting on a public website, where new hunters might be trying to learn. No where in the regulations states that shotguns are not allowed in Westchester County. Shotguns are allowed for small game throughout the county. The DEP also allows shotgun for small game in certain parcels of their property. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. John had the DC fix their firewall. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. A good shop might not charge you to fix a peep issue. Mine don't. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. If you go all the way to the bottom you'll see examples of restrictions. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. The D-loop crimp is just a bandaid. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Buy the kid something nice and ask him to twist, untwist your string to fix the peep rotation issue. You'll likely have to tune again after string twist. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk PS. Peep rotation is normal for a new bow
  14. Simple answer is, you need permission. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. It's probably not the keys that's the issue... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. http://www.nyc.gov/html/dep/pdf/recreation/open_rec_areas.pdf You may find this useful. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. That's what usually happens when my wife talks to me. Luckily it's only words and not JSB Kings. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Couldn't log on from Tapatalk, thought it may have been the new phone but probably not. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Different rules for different pieces of land. Best to reach out to DEP's website for accurate information. For example, some areas you need an access permit. Some areas you don't. Some areas will allow guns, while other areas don't. Some areas will allow small game, while others only big game. Find out the piece you want to hunt, and look it up on DEP's website. 20. Grampy, follow up with the docs, it could be serious. I live with back pain everyday, and I wouldn't wish it upon my worse enemies(well maybe a couple of them). Hope the recovery is swift. I generally hunt with a buddy and carry both smart phone and a radio. On long cold days, I also carry a portable charger for the phone. If you're going to hunt that ridge again in the future, it may be a good idea to put a rope all the way down to assist in getting down safely. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Before the iPhone's "find friends" app, I used to use google latitude. It could very well be a life saver. There's also other apps that has safety features built into them that allows you to press a button for help and it'll send your location to family, friends, and/or emergency personnel. Needless to say, data or SMS connection is required for these services to work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Let us know the bow shop if things turn ugly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Got busted this morning stalking a doe, turns out she had a posse and they ganged up on me. Later surrounded me and started blowing, and it wasn't the good kind either. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/391512707705 According to market value, it's just a tad over the price of a set of nice strings. I'm not overly worried about damaging the cam(single) or the limbs. BTW, I wouldn't want it in my home either, that's why it's in the car [emoji1] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Comforting to know that I'm not the only one who's done that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
